I've been cutting my Concerta 36 mg for a few months now and taking it sublingual and it just doesn't give me the stimulation I need and that I am used to.
For example when I was chugging 3 energy drinks under 10 minutes I felt it harder than this shit. PS: I recently tried taking it with prozac and it somewhat enhanced the MPH but I feel the high for like an hour max, then if I redose I feel like it doesn't do anything mental effects (js increases my bpm).

Yap yap yap yap , should I try getting the 56 mg version of Concerta because of tolerance? Drop the prozac? Orr try snorting?

I would increase the dose as opposed to skipping your other meds or snorting. Isnt concerts Xr anyway? Snorting pills is awful and uselessly damaging to your sinuses on its own, but snorting concerta is a particular type of not fun fuckery. Just increase your dose if your tolerance has changed.

What do you mean by youre cutting your dose you are trying to quit or something?

Cutting up , meaning bypassing the extended release thus making it ritalin.

I would request a different formulation of long acting Methylphenidate XR

You can say although you find Methylphenidate very helpful in helping your ADHD impulsiveness, lack of focus, etc, you've noticed lately the medication isn't helping as much as it use too

Perhaps of just a dose escalation you are interested in trying a different formulation of XR long acting beads that provide a slightly higher initial dose which you might require, and the remainder of medication is released gradually

Foquest capsule XR beads
Biphentin capsule XR beads
Ritalin CR 20mg tablets
Other brands

The latest generation of Methylphenidate XRs use a sophisticated 3 chamber osmosis pump time release mechanism.

The outer coating is initially disolved in the stomach to release the first dose, and then as the pill is further broken down by stomach acids they cause the osmosis pump to slowly release more methylphenidate over the course of around 4-12 hours I believe (IIRC.)

If you have this type of pill, it's not going to work sublingually, and crushing and attempting to snort them won't work either.

They seem to be pretty much undefeatable, as far as attempting to 'abuse' them to 'get high' goes.

I don't know if you are prescribed these for ADHD or not, but if so you're not meant to feel high from them, it's just to help you get your daily tasks completed. If they are not helping with that, when taken the intended way of swallowing, then you'd need to increase the dose.

It's hard to say why the medication isn't working for you. I agree with @Bleaney regarding the defeat of the time-release on the Concerta (Methylphenidate). I know it's a pretty extreme time-release mechanism. They were a serious bitch to beat 10 years ago when I last used one and I understand they have improved the technology. I'm not sure if you're using a drill or a hammer, if you're pulverizining or what. I do know that these serious time-release mechanisms can remain partially intact even when they've seemingly been totally pulverized. It seems like a stretch to me that they could ever be used sublingually in an efficient way. I believe some of the drug could get through. I'm not doubting your experience, that's just how I see it.

On a philosophical level, if you're chasing the effects like this, it doesn't usually bode well for a positive long-term relationship with the drug. If you want your medication to benefit you, you need to be very disciplined with how you use it. It is very easy to go off the rails. When you're chasing the effects like this, experience the entire day's worth in just a few hours, then you spend the rest of the day craving, thinking about how you're on empty. This feeds into a cycle of addiction man. This leads to taking the next day's dose today, running out of medication 12 days early, then searching around for whatever can be found. If you think this line of though couldn't easily lead to Methamphetamine, you're wrong.

I'm not trying to be the DARE program here. I just want you to know, this practice is what leads to people fucking up. If the medication isn't working, you have to try something different, maybe a different dose or a different drug. You don't just start taking more. That will just lead to chaos.

You might benefit from a period of abstinence. You could try two weeks or a month. You could then take the medication 5 days on 2 days off or something like that to help maintain effects. I would just get with your doc as soon as possible.
