Heroin Need some advise for quitting!

Ok so I have been using heroin (IV) every day for the past 6-8 weeks (0.5-1.5g per day) and recently I have been trying to quit, but am not getting very far... The gear here is normally very good - a lot better than what I could get in the UK. Still far from pure though.
Before this I was using every week for roughly 6 months but mainly smoking or snorting - only IV occasionally.

I don't have the option of going onto bupe or methadone as neither are available here (Egypt) - also there are no opiates/opiods available outside of hospitals here..

For about 6 years I have been addicted to benzos, with the last three years being everyday heavy use (40-100mg diazepam or equivelent) - However I have been slowly doing my own taper and got down to 0.25mg alprazolam and in the last week I have taken none at all. I am extremely happy with this as having gone through benzo withdrawal a number of times I feel I may finally be able to leave them behind me.

I have used heroin many times in the last four years but have always bought 3.5g and once it had gone not bought more, maybe using every 3-6 months.

Due to my work here I can't really spend longer than two days off and I work with tourists so I need to be able to be outgoing and not to show signs that I am withdrawing..

So the only available drugs that might help (at least that I know of) are alprazolam and diazepam - but I really want to avoid these if possible, and as my tolerance is ridiculous I need a lot to a little..

So basically is there any advise or tips anyone has for making it as easy on myself as possible? I have read loads of threads and of course I have used TFSE, but am curious to hear if people have any unorthodox or strange methods that maybe worked for them that I could try!

Even with benzos you are going to be quite sick for at least 4 days. They might help you sleep and cut the edge off a bit but they don't help a whole lot.

Unfortunately, there is no trick or workaround. You're going to be in rough shape for a week. Benzos can help a lot so if you really cant take time off work to get well, then that's really the only way you might be even semi able to function.
