Most are cracker dry, but some are completly blue on inside and easy to break. Instead of cracking they simply split apart. If I could post pictures I would have already. Shroomery was no help so I came here.

Is this a mold?
Not dried properly?

What do u think
Like the whole inner stem is blue, and soft.

I've been told that certain strains of psychoactive mushrooms bruise blue, it's a useful way to tell if you've got the right type or not. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but maybe someone with more knowledge on the subject can confirm this.

yea thts normal. if u wanna keep em for a while id put a dessicant along with it in a airproof container

If they arn't cracker dry then dry them until they are cracker dry. Get a fan with a heater and leave the mushrooms in front of them on gentle heat it until they snap like crackers.

Then powder them in a coffee grinder, place them in a glass jar in the freezer and they'll be good for at least 5 years (that's as long as I've had them stored for - but I think they're fine indefinately)

Splitting and cracking and blue is a good thing.

Soft and slimy and green is a bad thing.

EAT THEM NOW

Yeah I know that they Bruise blue, but it's almost like a soft fuzzy blue.

I think I may eat them regardless tonight and hope for the best haha XD

But it is not just a bruising, it's like there's a blue fuzzy substance under cap when I snap it off, and some parts are soft and splitting with no force, have blue inside, almost like a fuzzyness. The blue is def soft because I grabbed some, it felt like a sponge, and I pulled it off. But there are also most shrooms are crackerdry, snap and crack like twigs. Idk I wish my iPhone would work properly so I can show y'all what I see. Let me be clear, THERE IS NO SLIME

fuzzy blue isnt good blue, imho. i wouldnt consume them. probably wont kill you, but you never know, and do you really want to mix food poisoning with the comeup of shrooms?

alternatively, you might want to pick out the apparently good ones from the fuzzy blue infected ones. but if i were you, id bin the lot that camein contact with them. like they say, when in doubt, throw it out

i get a very potent penis envy strain regularly that is hard almost like tree bark every batch, they also have great shades of bruised blue throughout the stems . i also get amazonians that are weaker, skinnier and crumble alot easier aswel. i would be careful with that fuzzy blue soft stuff try to scrape it off if possible, mushrooms are really unpredictable compared to alot of other compounds iv experienced

Yes I am going to discard the bad, but it seems to not be spreading. I've had them for around 5 days now and no spread! Idk I am disappointed but I figure soft and fuzzy wasn't good. It's not like it's growing it, it's just there :/ well thanks for the advice! I think I may be on bluelight alot more now.

I agree with kingme. So dry with dessicant until cracker dry whichever ones do not have suspicious parts, and throw away the rest. Better safe than sorry. Other than that it needs a judgement call which you yourself should make. The vital info is shared with you, like ideas about molds and what they should and should not look like.

Very nice that we should be seeing more of you in the future - youre welcome at PD and the rest of BL of course!

This will be closed now, we don't allow further IDing - We don't allow ID threads anyway. If you remain unsure of what to do with some pieces or would like to learn more about it why not scour the Shroomery for other ID threads until you find the exact pictures and descriptions of what you seem to have yourself. Check their list of known contaminants and types of molds.

Thanks! And just FYI since you're new and all: check my signature here: Use that Index and FAQ to find your way around, and use the advanced search for your specific needs. :)

Later!
