Hi
Can you please help me. I'm not sure if I can ask the Question about being discharged or where to post this.
I need hep understanding why I was discharged. I was tested and came back negative three months ago. I was given a warning that if my test come back negative again than I will be discharged. I did run out early, but I'm confused why I was discharged for test that shows I do have norco. The problem is the doctor said I didn't have soma. I didn't know soma was a narcotic or that they even test for soma. Ive been crying for 3 days, because I'm hurt/embarrassed. I keep running that whole DR visit back in my head. She did ask if I was doing ok with my meds. Than she ask me agin, but rephrased her Q. Is my medication working or not. Than she ask if I ran out of any. I said yes I ran out of somas, BUT I don't want to go back up to 3 a day. I told her if I start getting three a day it would mess me up, because I've been trying to take less. I really want to be able to take the minimum medication, so I can be ok with my pain. I'm tired of feeling drugged up and I want to drive. Anyways she said I was being discharged for not complying with the pain management contract. I did admit to running out of norco and soma. I also make it clear that I do t want to be put on higher dose or more pills. I went from 8 norco a day to 3 and 4 soma to 2 a day. Anyways she said if don't matter, because soma stays in my system 3-5 days and I must of took them all. I though they only check for norco's, but I was discharged for running out of soma. Is soma even a narcotic. I mean I told her I feel like I'm being kick out for something like Motrins. She didn't want to hear me or any reason. Even though I told her to look at my chart for the past 3 1/2 years. Almost every appointment I've requested lower and lower doses. I will ask for higher does if I reinjured my back or leg. Anyways there's one doctor and aroun5-6 practitioners. I see all of them depending what day my appointment falls on. I never asked to not go to a certain Doctor. Anyways I want to know what can I do and now I have to find new doctor. I'm so hurt and embarrassed.

soma is a muscle relaxant. dr's usually get upset anytime you tell them you're not taking a medication precisely the way it was prescribed. your post was difficult for me to understand but it seems you ran out early multiple times and eventually the dr got fed up and let you go.

Soma is not a narcotic but it is a controlled schedule 1 substance. Were not allowed to discuss drug testing results etc but if your doctor is testing you and your not taking your medication correctly then they can refuse treatment.

They may think that you are either abusing or selling your meds.

OP, I'm so sorry you're feeling embarrassed & upset.

As Sigmond said, it seems you ran out early. Yes, your post is a little hard to understand, you want to take less pills but you ran out early?

There's one dr & 5-6 practioners?
at the one clinic? & you generally just see any of them? Are they PM drs, what pain do you have?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to get a clearer pic so we might be able to help you.
