This forum is here as a place to discuss neuroscience, chemistry, and pharmacology; often relating to drugs. We welcome in depth discussion of these topics, with a keen eye to discussing these topics in more detail than other subforms. Please post and link articles, especially when claiming quantities. This will allow this corner of Bluelight to function as a repository of information. Finally have fun! When you begin to delve in the science, you begin to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Please be kind. We want this forum to welcome people with different levels of experience. Give people the benefit of the doubt for posting in different styles, especially if what is being discussed is theoretical.
That being said, there is a very low tolerance for pseudoscience here. We believe in an objective reality, and posts on myths, conspiracy theories, and other well debunked phenomenon are subject to merging into common threads or deletion, depending on the level of discussion attained.
No practical synthesis discussion. Unfortunately this is a subjective term but generally don’t get too specific on synthetic routes, certainly don’t ask how to synthesize drugs or discuss the kind of synthetic chemistry that could be done at home.
Talk about the harm reduction implications of synthesis and synthesis impurities is something that would generally be allowed.
Please don’t advise people to do incredibly dangerous things. We are a harm reduction forum, after all.
It is highly encouraged to provide reference for statements in the form of peer reviewed papers. If you have difficulty accessing them beyond the abstract, ask and somebody can probably help you.
Also if there is terminology or a concept that you want to know more about, ask here and one of us can help you.
