Recently filled a script at a new pharmacy as the old one has been having problems with the DEA. In any event Inwas dispensed the yellow Qualitest Norcos with the famous stylized V. Now I won't go into detail as we're not supposed to identify pill markings here but mods please near with me. When looking at the number sequence and then rotating the pill around I'm the hand (not flipping) the afore mentioned V should be right side up. Well there are a whole slew of ones that have the V upside down.

Could these be fakes mixed in with the real deal? Again mods not trying to break any rules here, not comparing generics nor asking about unidentified pill markings, just want to know I this is a common practice or should they all ne exactly the same? BTW these came from a mom and pop pharmacy.

Gonna put these to the test this morning. First dose of the day and how they make me feel should be quite telling. Will report back.

Pharmacies dispense real pills.

Yes I agree however pill companies make their pills uniform with the same markings. I think it's naive to assume that some small pharmacies might not be a little shady and try to make a few extra bucks by tossing in some fake with the real especially with how strange this lady was acting. Gonna call a mainstream pharmacy today who carries the same brand to find out what is what.

My best guess is a backwards print when the pills were produced. If they were to make counterfeit pills I would think they would especially pay attention to printing the pills one specific way.

I doubt the pharmacy gave you counterfeit pills but the only way to find out is having them tested. I have to close this.

Edit: Re-opened, Emphasis being has this happened to anyone else?
