Hello, folks. I wanted to share what happened today, because I never really had to deal with this before.
Today, I bought some dope. I wound up snorting the same amount as usual, but began blacking out. When I came to, I was barely able to find my EBT card so I could get a Red Bull. I could barely walk straight when I went to the store. Somehow, I was able to drive over to a legal parking area. I still couldn't walk very well, so I just kept drinking the Red Bull in hopes that I could snap out of what I wonder might have been a minor overdose. I actually threw out my empty bags and my one stamp I had left over(I knew I'd just wasted ten bucks but I wanted to make sure I would not get busted for possession if a cop did find me)
I passed out again, and was woken up by a cop banging on my car window. I immediately came clean, and instead of searching my car and whatnot, he called me an ambulance. I was read my Miranda rights, but was never arrested or cuffed. I got a lecture from the cop, though. When the ambulance came, he wished me luck, and I was taken to the hospital.
I had to call my parents and tell them what happened. They hadn't known up until now that I was using heroin. They thought I was using pills, which I had been using up until May, when my dealer was cut off by his doctor. Then I switched to dope. I feel like shit for everything I've put them through.
We're looking into rehab now.

hey man, this is a blessing in disguise.
this is your time to quit.
you will make living amends to your family in time.

good luck in rehab!

+1 I definitely agree with this. Goodluck OP

Close call dude, things could have easily turned from bad to worse.
Imagine of you blacked out during your drive and never actually made it to the hospital alive..
People tend to forget about these possibilities. It's scary.
I'm glad you are searching for new beginnings, and by the sounds of it your parents seem to be significantly good parents for helping you find a rehab clinic.
Get well soon and consider this experience a bare warning of the serious danger dope has in store for you

I'm worried that this particular stamp might be dangerous to everyone, and that overdoses might start happening all over my area. It was a brand I'd had before, but the stamp bag itself had changed color, so would that mean a different cut? I'd hate to see people in my area getting sick.

It sounds as if you go the good side of the stick. Your life could have very well been saved, no charges and you might be getting the help you need. I agree with thedawn that this could be a blessing in disguise.

BL is here for you, and I wish you the best of luck.
