Methacodone

Ok, when I very 1st started MMT, I was on Liquid methadone, until 8 months later, I found that they also carried the 10mg pills and 40mg wafers, the dosing nurse asked me if I wanted to try them to see if they work better for you, I tried them, and holy shit
what a difference, the pills take a little longer to kick in, but when they do, IME, they feel 2x stronger than the liquid. I've been in MMT for 2+ years, so ive been on the pills for well over a year, my dosing nurse a couple weeks ago told me that they're getting rid of the pills, I asked why? She said she doesn't know and that I had to talk to the supervisor. So I went and talked to him, his answers were, 'it's a hassle with the pills, we have to count them everyday, and they're easier for the nurses to steal, and the DEA recommended to stick to liquid'.......
I completely understand what he said, but imo that's BS. Because the clinic I go to has been opened for 30+ years, and they've had the pills for that long, IMO, the reason they're getting rid of them is because the cost, they're way more expensive than the liquid. and of course MMT is a all-profit industry. I was SO pissed when I heard that.
I tested the waters 1 day, in the middle of my treatment, this was about 5 months ago, I told the dosing nurse give me the liquid today, to whether or not that's it's placebo, or not. So, that day I got dosed liquid, I LITERALLY went into minor w/d in the morning, that's never happened to me with the pills.
I've done lots of re search on methadone, and MOST sources/people say that pills are in fact more potent. I totally believe it because I experienced it.
Liquid methadone is made for opiate w/d, and the pills are made for chronic pain, you're doctor/supervisor will tell you the opposite and tell you its the same, but to me it isn't!!
The reason im pissed is because im stable and have been stable for the last year on 80mg of pills. I DONT want to raise my dose, and once the pills are gone, (they said beginning of april), im going to be stuck with liquid. 80mg of liquid doesn't get me stable for the whole day, like the pills do.
Other MMT patients, who have pills in their clinic, are you guys going through the same thing? Are they banning them everywhere or just in my clinic?
