I grew up in a predominantly Irish Catholic area (90%+ of the population here) and that statement could not be more contradictory to my own experience. I can honestly say that except for shitty TV shows i had never heard anyone say "I am waiting for marriage" until i was 20 and found out that the 18 year old chick i had been making out with half the night was apparently Protestant and doing just that
