Hi guys, Sorry that my first post has to be a negative one.

Lately i've been under a lot of stress and these headaches keep coming to me. The first one stayed for about a week, and made my vision perception very odd. Basically i would look at a blank wall and it wouldn't be just blank it would be tingling with energies running throught it almost. It's really hard to explain. like it would be very lucid seeming, like it wasn't actually really there. Like my eyes were struggling to pick everything up or something. My eyesight then got a bit worse.I wear contacts anyway. Headache subsided and vision restored the day before i went to opticians, they checked my eyes and said all was fine.

Week later the headache has come back changing my eyesight perception has changed again. Everything i look at is very defined and colours were brighter. Like high definition. Like when you turn the sharpness up on photoshop. Everything looked so beautiful and new, similar to a mushy trip. The problem is that i can also see everything in my peripheral vision, and it's very distracting. Every weird reflection of light in it catches my glance. I also have to squint upon walking in daylight. It's harder to focus on a single word whilst reading because the other words are being absorbed but in a kind of jingle jangle mess.

The headache now just in fact feels like my brain is being kneaded very gently, but it is still there. It's making me feel very detached and like i'm in a dream or something.

My mood has been very up and down this year. Just came out of a massive slump and now just a little emotional but now these headaches are getting to me, making me think something is seriously wrong. It's only the second one in about a month but they stay for a week or so.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what the vision/headache things about?

If you need any other info, please do ask.

I can relate. Who knows what it is? Go to different doctor:psychiatrist, pain managemanet, etce. I've had auras from migrains which made me have strange eaysighsts and then came inrtense headaches. That was a physical phroblem. And mental illness could be a factoer as well, for instance bipolars ofaten have similar problems, like right now i have fuck all for vision which is why i am typing so badly when Uusuallyy I am great at grammar and spelling if you lookat my other posts. Errie headicehds/migraine Headaches are common too.

Again, who knows? Could be physical, could be psychological. Keep working at it and i'm sure you will find it out if you work hard enough. Soerry if I'm incohrent I'm trying my best. Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply. Don't worry about incoherentness, i got it all. I havn't actually seen anyone professional about any of it (minus the opticians) it might be an idea though. i've thought also, recently I feel a connection with what some might call God, which is odd because i never believed in God, always a logic person until i felt touched by him and life breathed into me the first time. I'm torn between beliefs right now, i feel 'him' in me, see 'his' workings but yet still resist it? I am deconditioning myself and rebuilding my beliefs and maybe my brain is resisting/transforming/evolving therefore causing pain. or maybe i'm just batshit fucking crazy i don't know. There really is so much going on in my head.

Sorry to hear about your vision man, i hope it gets better. I smoked a tiny bit earlier and very very faint kaleidescope patterns were moving on the wall...very strange

awkwardapple, I would recommend that you go and see your doctor about this. Have you had migraines before? Did the optician check the current strength of your contacts? Perhaps you need to be prescribed a different strength?

Other causes of headache can include (but not limited to):
*dehydration
*lack of sleep
*neck/shoulder/jaw tension from stress and/or poor posture
*low blood sugar level from lack of nutrition

Do any of these sound like things that could be contributing to your headaches?? Are you taking any drugs, recreational or otherwise, which might have something to do with it?

Sounds exactly like my situation.

The last 2-3 weeks i had chronic headache pain, all day, all night.. i would wake up with it and goto sleep with it.. my moods would be up and down (and still are for absolutely no reason) and my vision would be somewhat blurry and difficult to focus on words or tasks. At the end of the 2 weeks i experienced extreme pain on the right for about an hour which i can only attribute to a migraine.

I had a CT brain scan done 2 weeks ago, which turned up fine. Doctor suggested it could be hidden stress, that im under but unable to fully recognize. Once i found out about the scan results the headaches lessened which lead me to believe it could of been stress related and this gave me some peace of mind.

I'd suggest checking it out with your doctor and even if necessary having a scan done, even if it showed up as fine or the doctor doesn't deem it necessary.. it can provide immense psychological peace of mind which may help alleviate what could be causing it.

I think this could be what's commonly known as hypervigilance, but normally this comes packaged with depression and anxiety and not on its own. This is why doctors often treat physical (or in this case visual) manifestations as symptoms, rather than conditions in their own right. Migraines, epilepsy, circulation problems, neurochemical imbalances.. they would be targeted as the culprit.

Personally I know of no drugs or therapy aimed at remedying visual perceptual disorders.

i know u said u went to the eye doctor but try a dif one maybe ur contacts are old or maybe u are wearing the wrong perscription # i know for me if i wear them to long or i hav the same prescription for a long time its time to get a new eye exam and a new pair of contacts
