My combination of medicines

I wonder about the combination of medicines I use. Although I trust my doctor, I want opinions of others to learn more about possible side effects or replacements. My daily combination consists of pregabalin, gabapentin, mirtazapine, zopiclone, quetiapine and methylphenidate. I get them for sleep disorder, anxiety and ADHD. Methylphenidate was just added and final dose isn't established but when it is I want to get off some of the other ones.

Is there anything potentially harmful about this combination of medicines? ...I'm thinking of things like blood pressure and heart rate. Like how big of an increase due to medicines, food or activity is acceptable if normal values are somewhere in the range of 120-130/70-80 @ 60-70bpm? What about an increase in heart rate to something like 100-110bpm in response to food? Or if blood pressure bumped to 160/100 some time after taking methylphenidate or mirtazapine - until it returns to base values, or slightly above? What foods should be avoided or preferred in such cases? Is endurance or strength training harmless in situations like this?

Any ideas regarding this would be appreciated; risks, signs, alternatives, approvements, tapering, anything worth mentioning...

You really should go to a general practitioner before going to the psychiatrist.

Regular doctors are for body health, which is not checked by psychiatrists.
Psychiatrist are not paid for practicing anatomic medicine, so your mind is the only thing they are trained to work with. Which means that you can have the flu, and still get put on psych meds that suppress your immune system, ETC....

Do you get it?

Get regular check-ups and make sure you are healthy enough to take these meds.
Then look up each of your meds on a medicine informational website to check for interactions.

Psychedelic Jay is right, you should see a general practitioner if your worried about your health.

If you were to ask me, someone without a M.D. license, I don't see any dangerous risks with that cocktail of drugs. I'm curious as to why you are on both pregabalin and gabapentin though. You could just raise the dose of one of them and get off the other. My psych would only allow one or the other and I have fibromyalgia. I'm on the more potent of the two, pregabalin. My other question is why are you on both Seroquel, Remeron AND zopiclone when you could just be on a higher dose of one of them for sleep. The least amount of medications necessary is always for the best.

But if you are really worried about the combinations see a regular doctor and he can give you a check-up, blood work, etc. and some advice on the drugs that your on.
