shrooms -- 3rd time -- tripping around town

Names have been changed to protect the innocent. ;)
I am experienced with psychadelics in general, but this is the third time I'd ever taken mushrooms. We had planned a daytrip for when I was visiting, planning on taking combined bags of shrooms we had leftover and new ones we had bought. We think that between us all we probably ate 1/8 each.
We chopped the shrooms up, divided them equally, and swallowed them. We then realize we had done NO preparation to get ready to go outside, so we smoke a bowl and proceed to try and pack a backpack. It's really hot outside, so "Girl" runs around trying to prepare to leave, not wanting to forget anything. She packs us lime gatorade and water and we set off out the door.
We start walking across a bridge so we can cross the street, and the bridge seems like it stretches up and on forever, so I suspect I am beginning to feel it. My shoes feel like bricks (they are huge platforms and actually heavy) so I stop several times while "BOy" and Girl wait patiently for me to come. We get across the bridge and go into garden by a gym and sit on a bench in the shade. It was really hot and we proceeded to rest. We could feel the heat baking into us and we all had started to get a little sweaty. I think, maybe this isn't a good idea to be outside, but it's a little late to un-take the shrooms.
Girl decided to go to the bathroom and I wasn't feeling much yet, so we decided it was safe for her to go on her own. We sat on the bench and I begin melting into the bench, like gravity is pulling me downward, and I realize I cannot get up. I turn to boy, who is staring off into space. The world begins to blur together and I realize I am seeing it like a spider would, refrating every image into millions. I can see the whole scene in each little eye, bending convex so that Boy stretches out strangely on the side. I look sideways to him and he isn't bending at all... strange... so I look back and out of the corner of my eye, I see demons beckoning to me to follow them down off the bench. I'm kind of scared so I shake my head and try not to see them, but they are insistent. Since I won't follow them off the side, they start pulling me forward, and I am slipping and sliding through a halfpipe with demons looking down at me from both sides, and I feel like I am on a waterslide whooshing down into certain doom. I try to look away, but everywhere I turn they are pulling me towards them. I feel really heavy and try to shake myself up to get rid of the feeling, but they're in the grass, in the air, everywhere around me and beckoning towards certain doom... I close my eyes for a second and open them, telling myself they are not there, and they vanish.
Girl comes back and we decide we need to go somewhere else. We walk across a large grassy plaza and I keep asking "where are we going? where are we going", disturbed that we have no plan. She says we're going to the river, so I quiet down for a while but then start complaining about how bright it is outside, even though I have sunglasses on. I can't even tell.
We sit down on some stairs and realize there is a statue sitting on them. He has a briefcase with a calculator and a letter in his hands. I'm afraid, so I send Girl down to investigate. She reports back what is written on the letter, but I begin to suspect that the man doesn't have a face, which is really scary. We get up to leave again and we want to find out about his face but we're too afriad to look. Finally I spring forward... he has a face! What a relief.
We begin wandering around some more and decide it's so hot that we should go back to our house. It feels like it takes us hours to get there, like our feet aren't moving us. I walk by a house and a tiny little cat walks out towards me. Girl and Boy are afraid it's rabid and try to pull me back, but I feel drawn to the cat and can feel the vibrations that its purring is making. I touch it and realize it's not purring, but as I pet it, it begins to purr and the world starts turning colors in time with its purring. I get sad when I realize that it is very underfed. We walk away and the cat begins to follow us, much like a dog would, and we get nervous because we can't have cats at our house, everyone is allergic, and we can't afford one. It stops at the end of the property and watches us walk away.
It seems like forever until we get to the house. We collapse onto the shade of the porch and realize that it's been three hours since we dropped, but it seems like it's been days walking around. Girl turns to me and says she's happy she's off the treadmill, and I can't agree more.
We pull out some fruit salad we made beforehand and start eating it. I can feel the cool sliding down my overheated body and I begin to feel better. I go inside to go to the bathroom.
Once I get there, I can't stop staring in the mirror. My pupils are so huge there is hardly any brown around the outside. I start trying to pull off my pants and it's so difficult I look away into the mirror. They finally come off and I see my face, and it looks so pure and radiant that I want to stare and stare. I slide off my pants and begin a striptease for myself, unable to believe that I'm so attractive. The sounds of music from outside distract me from the mirror and make me realize I've been gone a while, so I leave, completely forgetting to pee.
The rest of the afternoon, we sit on the porch and laugh so hard that my tummy hurts, as I tell my friends again and again how hot the DJ who made this cd is, and every time they tell me I'm repeating myself, but five minuts later I say it again. Everything blurs into one rediculous conversation, which I remember being really funny but I can't remember one topic, grrr.
A fun trip, but I'm never daytripping in the summer again. It was pretty poor judgement, because we were all tired and dehydrated when we got back.

Great shroom report :D
I'm glad you came back and finished it off.
I sweat when tripping, and especially on mushrooms, so yes, I think tripping in summer can be very uncomfortable if I don't have enough liquids, or a fan somewhere near by. But walks and exploring are excellent while tripping!
Girl turns to me and says she's happy she's off the treadmill
LOL, this reminds me of one time I was tripping with a friend, walking back from the cinema after watching Final Fantasy on acid, and we both agreed we were NOT actually moving, we were just pushing the earth under our feet. :)

It's quality trip reports like this that are increasing my desire to try shrooms ;) Thanks for sharing.
I touch it and realize it's not purring, but as I pet it, it begins to purr and the world starts turning colors in time with its purring.
Choice ;)
