Mushrooms & Weed - 2 grams 1st time - Streets of Chinatown
This is my first trip on mushrooms which I have recently edited..
Who?
Me- At this time I'm not experienced with anything other then weed and alcohol, this was going to be my first trip.
My Older Brother- Who we'll call Trips- He is pretty experienced with mushrooms. However, he was the driver so he decided on a low dose of valium to ease the nerves of driving around 2 trippers.
A friend Zong - Also fairly experienced with mushrooms. My brother's good friend from elementary school, so I've known him for a long time.
The plan was for me and Zong to take a half an eighth each. My brother was going to drive us into New York City and our destination was Chinatown. It was a friday night and the weather was pretty warm out. I felt in trusted hands, for Trips and Zong are pretty familiar with tripping.
We headed to our friend's house who had a digital scale to weigh out the shrooms and ingest them. Zong had already ground up the shrooms to a coarse consistency. We weighed out our respective doses and just downed the mixture with water. The shrooms tasted like nasty sawdust, but I didn't have much trouble getting them down in a few minutes. Eventually, we leave this friend's house and get in the car to head to New York. From my house it takes about 45 minutes or so to get to Chinatown.
At this point I'm trying to see if i am feeling any effects. I feel a little extra laughter come on and I feel very giddy. The come up is producing no marked nausea at this point.
At about thirty minutes after ingestion we arrive into New York. The lights at this point seemed to have an extra twinkle and a starry effect. At the time we arrived in chinatown i was about 45 minutes into my trip. Chinatown looked crazy! There were people busy walking everyone and lots of traffic. I felt like we were in the middle of Hong Kong it self or something. It all seemed so foreign.
Eventually, we find parking on a street thats relatively close to the restaurant we were going to. When we get out of the car we see a black doll lying on the ground that looked like some kind of voodoo doll with a mini-mask on like from the Scream movies. We all laugh over the fact that this could be a "bad omen". At this point the buildings are starting to look big and cartoony a bit.
We turned the block and headed past this Chinese toy shop. This toy yapping dog was moving in the front in a very mechanical robotic motion and made a very high pitched yapping noise. I couldn’t escape that noise. We kept walking past, and I could still hear that dog until we finally turned the corner and made it to the restaurant. I'd say this was about an hour into the trip.
The restaurant we decide to eat at is a small underground entrance that leads to a pretty nice Vietnamese restaurant. As I walked down the stairs into the entrance I felt like I was entering a very brightly lit sacred hideout underneath the streets.
We got seated and I started to feel really antsy. I kept tapping my feet and couldn't sit still. I felt very high class at the time and decided to order everything I got steamed, instead of the usual fried. (I had a revelation at the time that steamed food accentuates the taste better.) It's about an hour and a half and I'm really starting to feel the shrooms kick in.
It seemed as if there were 300 people all packed into this little restaurant having their own conversations and doing their own thing. It seemed at the time like utter chaos. Their was a flamboyant 20 year old man telling a story at a table near mine, and I thought he looked like a jester hired by the court to entertain the king. The way he expressed his story and used hand gestures really made it interesting to watch. Also at the table was a 14 year old that looked like a 30 year old, weirddd.
I had not experienced any real visuals yet. In the background I could hear a sort of beating music like techno, but I know there was no music playing. Well the music was playing in my head at least. I looked at the design on the wall and it started to melt and move and sway. I laughed at this, my first real visual which was a pretty cool Vietnamese design that moved beautifully. Meanwhile Zong was commenting on how he felt that that their was chaos all behind him because he was facing the wall, not away from the wall like me, and couldn't actually see this people that he kept hearing.
Eventually, we finished our meal and decided to leave. I was stuck having to pay the bill which was very stressful due to the fact that I was tripping pretty hard at this point. I paid the check somehow and we left. We made our way over to the car where we had a bowl and a little bit of trees waiting for us. We each took a few hits and Trips started driving us around, I was in the passenger front seat.
The weed accelerated me to the most intense part of my trip which was basically me enjoying my own thoughts and sights. Trips had popped on a jazz radio station, and I could feel the saxophone solos flow through my body. The only thing I remember saying at this point was something about a "simple-minded j", which I have no clue what it means. Finally, we stop to head to this bar which has nice couches and a pretty ambient atmosphere.
We head to the bar, and I order a few scotch on the rocks for the comedown. Thoughts are still racing through my head, and I'm at a lost of words really. The shrooms have made me feel very intelligent, unlike cannabis which tends to leave me in a haze. Eventually, we leave the bar and head back to our friend's house with the scale. I think we smoked for a bit there, and I eventually ended up leaving. I didn't have much problems falling asleep and woke up pretty clearheaded the next day (I rocked my friends in poker that day, which I contribute to the wisdom mushrooms gave me).
I really gained a lot from this first trip. I think shrooms are the perfect way to dwelve into hallucinogens. I saw the world in a different way that seemed more real then my current world. I hope you guys liked this and would appreciate some feedback.
