Hey all, wondering if anyone had some good tips for drying out mushies. I know I'm supposed to use some dessicant and put them on some flyscreen over it but it is 8pm, no hardware shops are open and I'm sitting here with a batch of freshly picked ones wondering what to do with them. Oh and unfortunately I can't do the obvious and eat them dammit coz I have much homework to do

call me stupid, i know really not much about this at all... but how about putting them in the oven at a really really low temperature for a little while?
shoot me if it sounds dumb

nah, you're not supposed to use heat to dry them, I hear it kills good stuff. Pity, coz otherwise I'd just be popping them on top of the water heater. I guess I'm just going to have to leave them for tonight and fix it up properly tomorrow.

yeah erowid is definately your friend in all matters entheogenic!

Really simply...
Place them at a 45degree angle

lay them over newspaper, out of sunlight in a room with a bit of air going over them. Leave them for about 2 days (or until they dry) pack them in one of those chinese food containers (US style - the cardboard ones) and eat them when you feel like it.
Just be wary of ants finding your mushies and having a bit of a munch on them.
ok, hope that helps.

yar thanks for that Maxi ... I don't know why I didn't check Erowid myself, I suppose I had first had advice in mind (tho why I don't know). But yeah, after all that I have decided to just chuck them in a paper bag and put 'em in the fridge... they are better fresh and I will eat them next weekend so I don't know why I thought I had to dry them. I think I might have been too excited at the thought of mushies to think properly.
