I was wondering what causes someone to have muscle spasms and twitching on the comedown of meth and speed? Both of these situations have happened where out of the blue I am feeling fine and dandy and then suddenly my finger will start trembling and then my whole body will be trembling. That was after take a mix of meth/speed, but much later on since the initial dosing. I took some valiums and it took 20mg to stop the spasms, even though I'm a tiny girl.

With the twitching, I had done a little bit of meth at a party, come home early and then out of the blue as I was chatting to my boyfriend on our couch my body starting to twitch in odd places. I went to the hospital for that one and they gave me valiums and sent me off on my way.

These reactions really freak me out and I don't think I could mentally handle another experience of this :/

I don't think either were panic attacks because my state of mind was quite happy and relaxed at both times.

What causes them and can they be prevented without benzos?

EDIT: Can somebody change the title of the thread, I made a lame typo.

I am not sure exactly but I have suffered through then a couple of times. I do not how you use but I would direct mainline it and on occasion without warning they would hit. Normally it would be after smoking weed. It starts like a anxiety or panic attack that goes nuclear in a blink. Mine would be uncontrolable shaking, trembling, twitching , spasms of my whole body eyes mouth included. Eating my favorite candy sour patch kids helps do not choke. I don't know for you but these spasms would build and grow till it peake as a panic attack would. I can only describe them as sadness that was painful and I have to fight. My own body to stay alert or alive is what it feels like. I fight to the point when I'd does end I am completely exhausted and pass out. This is after two days of no meth. The best guess I got Is that there could be a build up of toxins from regular use in the body and something causes it to be all released for processing and your body freaks and goes to war. Bad shit hurts you more than the meth. It's just my guess I could be way wrong but I fel your pain and ould not wig them on anyone. Be safe stay well No Powder No pills, smoke weed and have a Twinkie.

Is it all in the head though, like anxiety? or is this really something you can't control with positive thinking/deep breathing exercises
