I just watch most of this movie last night and found it to be quite entertaining and inspirational. It is about an overweight man who has a rare autoimmune disease that causes him to break out in painful sores and rashes. To alleviate these symptoms he takes high doses of steroids daily. The movie is about him traveling through America as he does a 60 day juice fast. He talks to people, inspires a few, and in particular meets an obese trucker who has the same disease that he has. The trucker then goes on a juice fast. The main guy loses 70 pounds and goes off his medication completely...the trucker loses 90 pounds and cuts his medication drastically.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for all you other health enthusiasts. I can't wait to try my own juice fast after hearing so many good things about it from my friends and this movie.

!PEACE!

it is currently on Netflix streaming

I actually passed this up the other day on Netflix when looking for something to stream, I'll definitely check it out now.
Thanks.x

Just because these severely overweight men benefitted from a juice fast, you can't necessarily conclude that *everyone* would. I'm guessing the majority of the health benefits seen by the subjects of the documentary were due to simply attaining a much healthier weight.

^ and eating much healthier food. Let's face it, animal products don't really do much good for our bodies and junk food... forget it, you're not getting any proper nutrition from it. A fruit and veggie juice fast is sometimes just what someone needs to kick start their quest to a healthier lifestyle.
