Most astonishing Chinese fortune cookie saying you've ever cracked open

I once got one that simply said "Love." I remember being struck by how simple this was.

Ever had a moment of synchronicity between events in your life and the Chinese fortune cookie you happened to crack open? Ever had one so cryptic, profound, or just downright ridiculous that you put it in your wallet and carried it around? Ever win a jackpot entering the "lucky numbers" they supply into some lottery? Please do share.

I have nothing to say that's impressive but I did open two fortune cookies recently.

One said I would have luck during the next full moon (so, the 25th of this month), which for some reason I believe and associate with my plans for doing something.

The other said I have the attitude of a winner. I'm pissed off that a fortune cookie was getting all sarcastic and demeaning me.

a few years ago, my friends and i arranged a psytrance party to raise funds for our burning man project. we rented a club, friends (including one who flew in from berlin) were dj'ing, we promoted the party and sold tickets. there were about 12-15 of us involved in some aspect of party planning for a time leading up to the night of the event.

a couple of weeks before, i was having chinese food and i opened my fortune cookie. it read "you will attend a most unusual party" which was amusingly coincidental.

the night of the party rolled round and we were in the club decorating and getting ready, a couple of the group finished up and went to get some food. a little while later, they returned and my friend kelly came running into the club, flipping out excited and breathless. i asked her what was going on and she couldn't contain herself "we went for chinese food and, when we got done i opened my fortune cookie and you WILL NOT BELIEVE what it said!".

well, it was pretty obvious so i stopped her and said "by any chance did it say...'you will attend a most unusual party'?". of course it had and the look on her face was one of complete disbelief. she had absolutely no idea how i could possibly know that. i put her out of her misery a little later :)

All too often i'll get a fortune cookie or hear a song on the radio that is indeed too profound to be a coincidence. It's probably just my stupid brain searching for patterns again though. Also fortune cookies and songs alike can be interpreted in so many ways and it's no wonder that so many of us can actually relate it to some part of our lives.

"You are here"

I'm not sure why, but it struck a strange chord with me. I still keep it in my wallet so that wherever I go, I know where I am. Don't even need a GPS!

fortune cookies are just for fun, and they are that....anyone can find some meaning in the message, just like the generalized horoscopes because they all have some little fact that we hold on to because we WANT IT to be real. It's human nature (Psychology 101, lol) for us to want to find patterns, in everything. But of course some time there ARE those unexplained happenings, conincendences that simply can't be explained away...it's like when you start thinking of someone and at that very moment that person calls.

when I was young I got one that said "the grand pyramids are in Egypt"... ridiculous.
nowadays I save my fortunes for a whole year and burn them on my bday in a pile. whichever ones are left readable after the fire, I keep. been doing this for going on 4 years now.

They may have seen your party advertised and lovingly thought they'd help you out a little ;) (Or freak you out a little)

you can add "in bed" to the end of any fortune and you can make it sound dirty. my 1st gf ever taught me this. i still do it from time to time :P.

Coolest fortune I ever got in a cookie was "Why?". That's it just the word why lol. I wonder if theres some guy cloistered away in a cubicle somewhere who just writes down all these cliche sayings that go into fortune cookies.
