I'm asking the fucking questions!
First of all I would just like to say I don't take steroids. I have been going to the gym now for roughly 6 months, and the only supplementation I do is whey protein isolate. The problem is that lately I have been having mood swings and feeling very aggressive which isn't normal for me. It hasn't really been too much of a problem but I'm just wondering why? This has been coupled with an abnormal rise in progression in the gym (which I can't explain either)... I think this is due to a rise in test levels? Can somebody give me any reason why this would be true or any other theory for what is happening? Its not really but I'm interested in knowing why. I don't think I have been eating or drinking any differently either. I am an 18 year old male if that makes any difference. Sorry about the layout of this thread, I'm on my phone and can't use paragraphs... Thanks, nolys

Sure as hell do bro, your test levels are gonna be going up and up till at least 21-25 , I grew 2 inches my freshman year at college when I was 18. Granted i had juiced years before that (horrible thing to do, football, long story). But when I was 18 fuck man, I was a moody sob - lifting gave me more confidence and sure I could be a real dickhead. Some would argue I still am =D lol.

Haha... But the thing is, I've stopped growing about 2 years ago, and itsonly recently that this has started happening, I've also gained about 3kg in 6 weeks, which is more than I have gained in the previous 6 months, and its all muscle I have gained, no fat... I actually think yôu might be right about the confidence part, come to think about it my confisence has went through the roof... Thanks for your opinion there, it cleared things up a bit

basic compound movements release HGH , squats for example. Ever hear "you want big arms, squat" ? You could well have another growth spurt in you bro , i was 5'11 going to college, nearly 6'3 now at 25.. so go figure.

Deadlifts are totally a compound exercise.

PS. Just because you have think you have stopped growing taller doesn't mean you have completely. I'm 6'1" now at age 31. I was 6' at age 19 or so and thought I'd stopped but I 'slowly' grew another inch between 19 and 22. Plenty of men don't completely finish growing up and out till mid twenties. Probably one of the best things about being a guy vs a chick.

Yeah mate, you're 18. Its a load of shit going on including natural hormones. Weight lifting could and should mean you're releasing more of these goodies especially at 18. All part of becoming a man bro! =D

Lifting definetly increases test levels. Whenever I take a break- then go back I get loadsa spots from various hormonal releases.

I was doing all my serious lifting at age 18-21. I took a break and just did cardio for a while and for some reason that extra recovery time led me to have a stronger overall base. Either that or since i'm 22 now my hormone levels just solidified. I'm actually far less moody and a lot more cocky without too much other explanation why. I'm stronger than ever and i've only been training moderately, I think a lot of natural mass testosterone and even balanced emotional levels come with age.

I just feel like I have more guts and grit now without really training for it specifically, My legs just carry me for miles and miles without complaining but when I started training in my younger years I would be nervous of training day etc.

Now I have some functional bulk that I feel is here to stay. I started feeling real strength confidence levels rise when I switched to a high intensity compound lifting routine while ditching all the small isolations. Anyone find that when they get really attuned to lifting weights and their body that they just flex/flex intensely for no real reason? I attribute it with aggression anyways.

Lets just say I don't feel more aggressive than in my teenage years but I feel it takes a lot less effort to think of how to follow through with aggression, less angsty more actual.
