Mixing Xanax and Klonopin (benzos)

Well clonazepam has a moderate half life while alprazolam has a short half life, so you'd effectively be getting the same individual effects of each of them, but you will feel it for longer because of the clonazepam half life.

Clonazepam: 18 to 60 hours half-life (on average)
Alprazolam: 11.2 hour half-life (on average)

Also I've found whenever I mix pills that there is sort of an multiplication effect.
For Example: It will not be (Clonazepam + Alprazolam) it will be (Clonazepam x Alprazolam)

Shit can get out of control fast when you mix benzos, be careful.

Thanks. There both .5s. That's why i wanna take them at same time. It wont be a regular thing, I just happened to have 1 of each.

As above, combining benzos often results in more extensive effects than either alone, especially in terms of cognition, memory impairment and coordination issues. Even more so: the CNS depression is also amplified.

Mixing benzos is pointless. Just take one type? Like geez man.

Last time I mixed xanax and valium it lead to a serious blackout coupled with me being a walking coma. Woke up in the morning manically depressed. Was contemplating suicide. Weed saved me. I was crying on my toilet.

mixing benzos creates an additive effect, not exponential. at equal potency, .5mgs + .5mgs will feel like 1mg. it's not like mixing benzos & opiates or benzos & alcohol, where the sum is greater than the parts.

Having be dumb enough to extensively mix benzos of the years I strongly disagree that there will be an additive effect in most cases. If you look at the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of the different benzodiazepines it becomes relatively clear that the different benzos are completely different even if they are of the same classification of medication. My point being that the experience of taking 1mg of Ativan or 2mg of ativan are not that different, but if you take 5mg of diazepam and 1mg of ativan together, then you end up with an entirely different experience that is like multiplication as opposed to addition or exponentiation. My experiences were as such, therefore I stand by my assesment.

right on. we disagree. multiplication is what i meant by exponentiation. i would like to suggest that the benzo market supports my experience. if .5mg of kpin + .5mg of xanax was more powerful than 1mg of either alone, benzo addicts would be seeking mixed bags and dual scripts. IME, they are after their benzo of choice and accept substitutes when necessary.

edit:
to add a bit of detail to my subjective experience, i had a daily klonopin + ativan script for several years and then a daily valium + ativan script for several years. i did not experience anything more than an additive effect with either. nor with any other combo of valium, xanax, kpin, and/or ativan.

no point in mixing them. Just take one at a time. Klonopin is a long lasting benzo and will give a more mello buzz while xanax will be right in your face. Just take one at a time

I took them both because they are .5 milli, pointless to take one. I was taking them to get high, not just to like even myself out...and both being .5s I did not experience a blackout. Now, maybe if they were both 1 millis, I would have been lit. But I was not. It was a nice even mellow high. And, waking up, when I finally did shit was hard to wake up from, I felt amazing. The hang over for benzos, for me, makes me feel...speedy...I guess would be the word.
