mixing half a cap of 2cc and half a cap of 2ci, will it still be active?

A friend has a cap of 2c-i which I think is about 18mg and a cap of 2c-c which is about 25-30mg.

Now a friend wasn't sure which one he wants to take so he was considering mixing both them up, and taking half the mixture.

Now because the substances are only active in certain quantities will this make it not work? or because they are so similar it will have a similar effect?

I suggested that he just tosses a coin and picks one as that way he is guaranteed it will be an effective dose. What do you guys think?

Who knows how much is really in there? I enjoy mixing 2c-x's, but I think you'd probably end up losing too much to make the effort worth it. Just try one or the other.

^Yeah you'll never how many mgs of each are in the mix so you might not take enough of one. So I suggest taking one and take the other some other time.

In general, yes, mixing 2Cs tends to work - with 2C-I and 2C-E at least, the experience feels like a mix of the two and the doses seem to more or less add together, although 2C-I is less potent - so 20mg 2c-i and 10mg 2c-e might be similar to roughly 20-22mg 2C-E alone, although slightly different still.

At any rate, I wouldn't mix two drugs I had never taken on their own, no matter how similar. Plus, different people find different 2Cs more or less potent compared to other people, so if your friend has a stronger or weaker than expected trip he'd have no idea which 2C was to credit/blame.

I've heard people say good things about 2C-I + 2C-C in combination.

The main reason is because him and another mate want to take it at a festival but they don't want one person to be tripping way harder than the other, so mix in the hope that they will have the same experience but not a dud.

Being as it is a festival I think it will be a better thing if its a bit weaker so I will recommend mixing them.
