Opioids Mixing Benadryl And Xanax to enhance Oxycodone?

I take Xanax 2MG every 4 hours on a regular basis and Oxycodone 10MG every 4 hours also. I'm 17. But I was wondering If benadryl would enhance the high of oxycodone? I've heard that before I'm not sure if it's true. If anyone knows respond please. (:
 
Yes, diphenhydramine (Benadryl) will enhance your oxycodone. Other antihistamines such as hydroxyzine and promethazine will work too. There's a lot of info already on Bluelight about potentiating opioids if you do some searching. You should be careful because you're on Xanax as well, which has a synergistic effect with oxycodone (that means each drug makes the other stronger). But i assume you have built up a tolerance to this effect taking both drugs at regular intervals. I would also be concerned with physical dependency if I were you. Be careful. :)

I've Been on Opiates since I was 11(: No worries and Xanax for 2 years. I'm fine So would 25 MG of benadryl be enough to enhance it?
 
Combining CNS depressants like benzos and opiates can be really dangerous, so be careful with that.

As for the benydral, I never noticed much of a difference in opiate effect after taking an antihistamine with it.
 
Having tripled your oxy dose, you probably didn't need any Benadryl. Sorry for being repetitive but please be careful. I know you said you've been on the opioids for a long time, but having a benzo in the mix you should really be more conservative when increasing your dose, just to be safe. Going from 10mg to 30mg is a big jump.
 
If you take 10mg oxy every 4 hours with 2mg of alprazolam every 4 hours, as well, and have been for the amount of time you've stated, I highly doubt diphenhydramine will be significantly dangerous to add. It will definitely enhance the sedation level, and may make it feel as if you've taken a higher dosage of alpraz, but it's still something to be careful with. As long as you know your limits and are careful when adding new meds, you should be alright.

Also, totally random and possibly a rude question so don't answer if uncomfortable, but what are you on that much alprazolam for? I don't think I've ever seen somebody 17 years old on that high of a dose without an SSRI or adjunct therapy in my days at psych hospitals lol. Everybody's different, though.

No not rude at all, i understand. I take Prozac 20MG once a day and Depakote 1000MG Once a day for my anxiety also. It helps alot (:
