Mixing 5mg of oxycodone with 1 beer?

Normally it takes me 4 5 mg percs to get a good opiate high going. If I take just one 5mg perc, smoke weed, and then drink one beer will it have a decently strong affect?
 
Mixing any kind of opiates with alcohol or other depressents always creates an adverse effect compared to just taking the drugs normally. In small amounts like 1 5 mg perc and 1 beer you have nothing to worry about and should produce a quite nice buzz because if you can even get high off those in the first place you are NOT even close to as opiate tollerant as half the people (including myself) on this website so cheers to that mate. Mixing these drugs specifically opiates and alcohol in large amounts is all around a bad idea and is more or less responsible for half of the celebrity overdoses in the media in the past 5 years. Be safe and be smart.

Opiates and alcohol just screams bad idea. Even at such small amounts as one beer- why even bother? Seriously, just pop another perc and enjoy the opiate. I'd say stick to one or the other.
Will you be in any danger w/ those amounts? No, probably not. Is it smart ? Not really.

Dude I'm sorry..I know this is a harm reduction site, but you honestly think a 5mg perc and 1 beer is "not smart?"
 
That's being waaaaaaaaaay too cautious. That is not enough to have any effect on breathing, and the weed will not effect breathing in it's own right.

So this combo even in doses twice as high as stated above, would have been completely safe in a non-tolerant user. Considering it at least takes over 15mgs to get a psychoactive response of CNS depression from oxycodone. Yet alone two beers in a non-tolerant drinker is still a joke.
 
You mentioned that you usually take 20mg of Oxycodone and that this time you took only 5mg. Well one beer is not going to replace the effects that another 15mg Oxycodone normally would. Smoking weed with opiates is always great though but with only 1 Percocet, don't get your hopes up.

Are you kidding? That would be a relevent concern if the question was about mixing opiates and alcohol in general, but 5 mg of oxy mixed with 1 beer poses absolutly no risk of not breathing while asleep.
 
Yeah, I'm all for harm reduction, hence I've been a member here and continue to post for 2 years (hardly a long time compared to most I know). But suggesting 5mg of Oxycodone and 1 drink of alcohol as something to be advised against is silly. 20mg and several drinks, yeah, you're getting into potentially unsafe territory, if you're particularly sensitive to both substances with no tolerance, first time with one or both, then yeah, you're taking some risks, but 5mg with a beer? ZERO RISK/HARM WHATSOEVER. Even if you were allergic to opiates I don't think 5mg of Oxycodone would cause you any major distress (though allergies can vary considerably and perhaps I'm out of place saying this with any confidence, so I'll digress on this point).

Now, this is a silly combo at these levels, and there's no point to it, not only is it safe, but it's unlikely to even produce any effect (aside from the weed). If you usually take 20mg, try 15mg with a beer OR TWO even and smoke some weed. Should be a good experience. Don't make a habit of mixing downers, and NEVER push the limits if mixing, but in moderate amounts, it can add a nice side to the experience and be quite rewarding. Care needs to be taken once you're talking multiple beers and 20mg+ of Oxycodone, and you need to be experienced at lower amounts and even then it's not advisable, but if you're going to do it, just do it with ample care.

Umm, yes. I honestly think it's not smart. I didn't say it'll kill you- it probably wouldn't, and you'd probably be fine. Lots of people do it-but just because people do things often doesn't mean they are smart. Just means there are a lot of stupid people.

Further, I've drank a beer/a glass of wine on much more than a perc and,well, I'm alive today. So, there too is that.
