If it's one thing I miss it's making mix tapes. Mix CDs just don't cut it imo. Don't get me wrong, it's always nice when people think of you and create them for you, but there's just always something missing. I mean, with tapes you knew the person had to sit there until the damn thing was finished, stopping and leaving an adequate gap in-between each song. Then if the tape ran out before the selected song had finished, you'd need to rethink it and squeeze on a track that would fit. And then there was all the funky drawings and collages you'd stick on the cassette cover. The creativity is gone. :(

I kinda thought that seeing as we can't really make them many more, it'd be nice to make imaginary mix tapes for people here on bluelight. Say around ten tracks or so (or however many you want). Sorta like the gift thread in the lounge I suppose. Make them for people you know personally, or that someone you've been meaning to speak to but haven't...for whatever reason. :)

What kinda bands are you into?. I miss turning people on to stuff and vice versa. I kinda have to rely on lastfm these days. :\

edit: actually, I just found this site which is similar to lastfm in that it takes bands you already like, and suggests similar artists in return: http://www.tastekid.com/
