I was surprised to find out that this program had been going on for over 10 years now, but whatever.

It offers all the lecture notes, multimedia, assignments, readings, exams, (some answers, and some more complete than others) for over 2,000 courses from the MIT catalog. In spring 2012, MIT plans to launch MITx -- a free online learning program that will be overseen by MIT staff. It will be like any other online class, and you will recieve a certificate of completion at the end of the class -- not from MIT but from MIT created not-for-profit body. I'm totally excited about this, any one else?
Right now I'm working through the readings/assignments for "Literary Interpretations of Virginia Woolf's Shakespeare", which is as delightful as it sounds.
I almost like this approach better than the idea of going back to school, to be totally honest. It kind of feels like I am, having access to everything MIT students do. %)
