Benzos microdosing etizolam

for some reason in my stacked up brain(including lithium which is said to cause NMS) I decide to take .25 etiz md formulated 4x a day... after first coming to conclude that lithium could be making things worse. I also, am considering; is taking a low dose of a fast metabolizing drug worse than other regimens? I dont really know how to put my intentions best, I know that I cannot drug myself forever. What does this mean for BZDoid neurotoxicity? or NMS? I think I have stated before: I am a recovering opiate and alcoholic certainly recognizing that going lone gun isnt the best as well.

My outlook is to just keep at the .25 or less dosage, contact recovery meetings for both major types

the studies are inconclusive as to whether benzodiazepines (etizolam is slightly different) cause neurotoxicity. When abused this may be a different story but at your doses, these issues are not at all common and quite unlikely to affect you negatively, either cognitively or through neurotoxicity.

Now etizolam may be special in this sense; i'll actually have to find the studies again but there is enough info if you just search through google. Etizolam may not cause as bad of a withdrawal as bzds do, as well it doesn't have near as much of an impact on cogntiive function and better yet has also shown to have an effect on SE and NE that may contribute to etizolam having antidepressant effects. It's actually a very interesting drug IMO.

etizolam 4x/day should ensure you have a steady level of etizolam in your body, etizolam also has a metabolite that lasts a bit longer too, so it's not as short acting as some people think. I think the half life is 6-8 hours (metabolite being 8 hours). The only thing that actually concerns me is this:

etizolam, unlike most other benzodiazepines (some of which can increase levels of estradiol), has prolactogenic effects, leading to an increase in prolactin blood levels.

1mg/day shouldn't cause you much of a problem, unless you stop abruptly, but like many drugs, you shouldn't just stop your medication abruptly.

its weird though about the advice given to women about increasing prolactin are healthy lifestyle habbits. I know prolactogenic effects have been part of lawsuits of neuroleptic antipsychotics. IDK im a skinny fuck whom having a gigantic set of titties isnt the very worst thing

as a male i'm more concerned about the increase in prolactin lol. I don't really see it as being any different than, 'this person needs to be on an SSRI'. If you're abusing it, yeah it will cause more negative effects but at a low controlled dose, even every day, i don't see any real issues with it. It's a potent anxiolytic so even at a dose of .25mg should have a noticeable effect therapeutically. Though i'm sure a higher dose would be even more effective, i don't think the lower dose would affect you negatively either. I think generally a high dose of etizolam give more hypnotic effects while a low dose is more anxiolytic, though doses high and low will get rid of anxiety either way.

really too the medium I think affects it somehow. maybe just grades of shit but with glycerine/PG id get KO'd hard as fuck and it wouldnt devolve right. in Vodka maybe it was shitty stuff but I did like WAAAAY more then I ever had and Id think its because alcohol causes diuretic effect. maybe even MD vs normal brand is different because a small dose of md is absorbed faster, and thus possibly more efficient

i just get the pure powder. Dissolving in vodka did not work at all, under a light i could still see particles everywhere, it did have some effect but not a very strong one. Once i put it in PG/ethanol mixture it dissolved fine and worked much better. I'm sure in pure ethanol it would dissolve better, but even phenazepam had trouble dissolving in high proof ethanol when i used to take it, i'd have to agitate and heat the solution for a while to get it to dissolve. I usually mix at least 1mg/1ml so 1-2ml of alcohol shouldn't really have an effect. With PG i'm gonna try to make a solution at 3mg/ml so i can do sublingual dosing but that's tomorrow's experiment.

I was under the impression that freebase wasnt orally active in most drugs. Is this the case? Or Am I fine? Or do I need to do a conversion to HCL? And IF so How DO I go about that?

i'm not sure what form my etizolam is in but it does have the name Iupac-name. I'd say just try it out, with no tolerance 2mg should make you feel wobbly.

Most (if not all?) benzodiazepines are already in freebase form

so i don't think it makes any difference that your etizolam is in the form of freebase.

today i dumped 90mg of etizolam into 25ml of PG/ethanol mix and most of it dissolved but there are still some large crystals stuck at the bottom. I'll try running the glass jar it's in under some hot water to see if it helps dissolve and then stir it but what a pain in the ass. I can't get pure PG around here apparently (i've checked a few places) so i'm stuck with this or high proof ethanol, which i already know is just as much of a hassle. I did just over 3mg/ml so maybe that's why. I actually wanted to make a super saturated solution so that i could take just one drop under the tongue for one dose.

i tested out the solution at .5ml and it was definitely effective, though it's not completely dissolved yet. hopefully with time, heat and agitation it'll all be dissolved. Anyone else have these problems?

^ I've had no problem getting it to dissolve in PG\ethanol... This was etizolam from the original Canadian vendor.
