How would one go about finding out if a compound was legal within our "friendly neighbor to the south's" border?

ketamine, codiene, and some benzos are the most popular mexican pharmecuticals

Right, but i saw some official dude on a CSpan conference thing on Mexi'pharm's bitch about someone going in and buying "a 50 count blister pack" of Oxycontin, but he had to go "into a back room" type deal to do so. The **** himself tried to do it, but was eyed up and down and denied =) He also said that there were gaurds at ever pharmacy, and they have 10x the RX stores than the US. The report told of various drugs being sold without scripts, some "legal" and some not...and its all up to how "down" you are with the pharmasist whether you look like a square or a dude who can get ripped off/recieve drugs... They do Sell K there though right?

The following may be wrong!
The following is partly opinion, partly hearsay, and partly based on info found on Us government websites. Confirm the legality of what you are doing before doing anything. Also know the consequences of what you are doing if there is any quesiton of legality. Know and be able to prove to customs agents what your rights are. If siezed you have little/no chance of recovery and may face possible fine. Not recomended for people with prior drug related offenses.
That said the following is something to think about.
  1. According to the US Customs website: A U.S. resident my import up to 50 dosage units of a controlled medication without a valid perscription if quality would not be questioned by the FDA. Controlled Substances Act (21USC956(a))
  2. An seperate fda provision found on the 2nds link permits importing to a 3 month supply but you need to jump through the right hoops.
  3. Doseage may be subject to enterpretation. ie you might be able to take 2 per dose but don't argue that you take 20 per dose.
  4. Oxycontin is Schedule II.
  5. K is Schedule III.
  6. i believe controlled medications are controlled substances with approved medical uses. Just make sure it isn't Schedule I.
  7. Generic prozac is cheap in mexico.
  8. You cand bargin for anything in mexico.
  9. This includes Oxy and K and perscriptions.
  10. You can buy an RX for about 20-40 bucks and seem good for 90 pills. Start with the less visited places with only 1-2 people working and no customers. Ask quietly if they carry Oxy, etc and how much it is. they will probably tell you they can't sell it without a perscription. ask how much one costs. see if the price is flexable.
  11. Some doctors sell perscriptions also. It is harder to find a doctor that will, but it allows you to go to any pharmacy.
  12. Medicines must be for PERSOMAL USE ONLY.

This brings up an idea for a roadtrip/vacation. Get a bunch of peeps to go down for a couple of days. Find a nice place to stay. A bunch of people renting a house near the beach should work. Grab a bunch of K, pharmies etc on the way down. Party use everything up. Stop on the way back refill to 50/person. Then come home. If asked to declare something then do. Anyone not asked to declare can do it again withing 50 days anyone else would be 50+.
Just make sure you don't have any pariphinalia or anything besides 50 on you when returning and everthing should be coo.
I probably should be working shouldn't I? oops.

twisted1, what exactly are you asking? To see if a compound is legal to order through the internet?
CrescentFresh, I'm not sure what it is you said in your post.
And BTW, you are not going to find Oxycontin over the internet unless it's through one of those websites that you do a phone consultation with a doctor and he gives you a script. Even if you could find them, they would probably be at least as expensive or more as the street price. And who the hell wants to pay that? You will find (whoever is interested) that buying prescription narcotics from overseas is getting more and more difficult as time goes on. I don't think this is part of the original post, but I just thought I'd add it anyway.

Purdue has cut back the distro of OxyContin to Mexico, good luck finding it... it's not as easy as everyone thinks, you don't drive acrosss the border and stop at the first store for a bottle of Dilaudid... C-II drugs are hard to get, hell, in my experience it's easier to work a doctor in the US for a C-II script then it is to cop come in Mexico ..
What you CAN GET - codeine and lots of benzos... you may still need a script but you can buy one for about $25 ...
And the 90-day supply rule doesn't mean much - if they find it, they will take it... I have made the trip several times...

Bascially, On the CSPAN thing they got into a bunch of arguments over the points GollyGlob posted, the one that interested me the most was that they dont legally sell the "Fun" drugs, but they can be found if your lucky/ know where to look.
Yeah, sorry i was overly retarded when i posted that, i was just saying that they "Bend the rules" in Mexico, and this is evident in that they have 10 times the Drug Store that the US has, for obvious reasons....

Has anyone bought Soma (carisoprodol) there????? I don’t believe it is scheduled drug, (oops.. in some states it is) so I am guessing it is OTC.

last month on a cruise on of the destinations was cozumel ,mexico.two of our friends sole goal of the cruise was to score there ever favorite rophenols-roofies.we had the taxi take us into town and they immediatly tried a pharmacy to be told that you need a perscription. they were going to try another one and my husband and i were looking at pipes at a shop and the store owner asked my husband and i if we wanted some pot .(thats another story) anyway, he also told us that you cant get it without a perscription unless you are mexican and for $80 american dollars he would go get them.well, the friends werent ready to fork over $80 to a strange man in mexico so we told him well come back.outside we were immeadiatly approached by another man who asked if we were looking for pills.he said he would get them for $50.this to was sketchy to my friends.at the moment the shop owner came out and got into a screaming match with the guy that tried to undercut him.we didnt know what they were saying the next thing we knew they were fist fighting.we left quickly.friends asked another store keeper and he said that you didnt need a perscription if you had the right pharm and proceeded to tell them.(i was looking at hammocks at this time or i would of took notes here) the friends have no concept of spainish and they thought he said the center pharm & actully he said sentro(or something) pharm.needless to say the pharm in the "center" was not the one.finally the guy that undercut the other one found us (all fucked up looking)and offered for $20.00 to show him the right pharm.it was a deal, thank God,i was getting mad at this point because i wanted to do something.our friends went in ,to the counter, asked her for roofies, she said how many ,and ba-boom.they each got two packs at $23.oo a piece and there was 30 in each one.the only thing was is that they used to get two milligrams and these were only 1.they carried them in there carry on when we got off the boat ,and there was no problems, luckliy for them, customs was only checking the luggage with the dogs not the people or carryons, though i dont know if roofies are detectable.
anyway, a little off the orginal post, but since i actually have a mexican pharmacy experience i thought id share it.

yea, you could get soma there. with the confiscating and 90 days thing - ive only been successful with that. my friend stuffed his pockets full of the unopened containers and scripts the mexicans gave him, was detained at the border stop (he didnt even try to declare, but just walk thru) and they said next time declare and these scripts arent valid in the u.s., but they are legitimate, so you can go.
but the thing to do is walk across lotsa times so you know whats going on, then its easier to play their games... hell, i crossed like 15 times, they stopped and checked a bag twice, we were detained once, and the rest was either walking right by everyone without being asked anything, or being asked my name or place of birth, or nobody was there. we crossed while nobody was watching the border like 5 times.
mexico rules. be smart.
