concerta time
So i've had experience w/ ritalin but i had never before tried concerta, it's time-released counterpart.
I got 4 54mg tabs from a friend and decided to give it a whirl since I needed to study for an exam:
I took out one tablet and went to work. The outside was a bitch to cut off (the platic coating), then the secon thinner waxy coating. then i proceeded to crush it up...peeling out pieces of wax along the way. Concerta is def filled w/ wax. Even when you peel it out it still gets all up in your nose if you're insufflating it. I know there is a water extraction method but i wasn't sure how it works...if someone could link me to that info on here it would be appreciated.
T:00-- I bump two lines-- not too big b/c i don't want it to go straight to my stomach
T+05-- Not much of a drip taste...it could be b/c i'm congested due a small cold or because of the wax....
T+20-- Feel a bit of a small surge in alertness, colors seem brighter an so I bump another line
T+45-- Another line later and I feel really pumped up. Heart rate up but not too much. I fly through my study material and get much more done than I expect. I then decide to talk online w/ friends and love how chatty I am and really feel to be in a fabulous mood.
T+1:20-- I bump a few more lines to finish up the pill every 10-15 minutes but it just keeps me at a minor plateau (sp?)...nothing to out of control but still lots of fun. minor jaw clench (very minor) and the urge to do something with my hands like rub them or shuffle cards
T+2-- Mostly down except the need to sleep. I wanna go to bed b/c I have a final tomorrow morning but I doubt I will. Luckily the studying was to make a study sheet we are allowed to have when we take the exam.
it's a little over 2 hours later and I still feel a fair amount of energy. Concerta isn't as intense as the ritalin b/c of it's inherrent time release design (IMO mind you). I will certainly be doing it again very soon.
NOTE: THis is my first trip report so hopefully it doesn't suck too badly. I've certainly enjoyed reading many of yours.
Cheers.
Peace,
Derek
