Stimulants Methamphetamine damage/frightening symptoms.

The reason I said I’m almost certain it’s cardiac is because I can’t determine if it is substernal. The last time I tried to exercise was when I was masturbating heavily, and I think/hope it might have been pectoral. I understand though, that I shouldn’t put off bad news. The point I’m at in my addiction has made me often question my logic.
Cardiac problem pains can sometimes be felt in places besides where you think your heart is. In fact one of the most common signs of a heart attack is supposed to be shooting pains down your left arm from the shoulder. You need a rest from drugs and a thorough medical check over. But you know that. Don’t stew over aches and pains that you can’t properly diagnose yourself. That’s a recipe for anxiety and paranoia when you are on stimulants.

^ I generally agree with a lot of your points, but only sleeping every other night is a horrible idea. I mean from time to time, yes, but humans are supposed to sleep every night. If you only sleep every other night as a regular practice, you're looking at serious chronic sleep deprivation.

TL:DR: ControlDaddy say, "Xorkoth, you crazy. I only slept four times, for more than an hour or so, in the last five weeks, while burning the meth crystal oils, and as it is plain to see, I am fit as a fiddle and right as rain!"

I would caution against relying on generalizations, especially this one, which is as broad as it could possibly be, regarding sleep. Sleep is something we barely think we know anything about right now, in 2021.

You can test this out yourself, by pulling up some recent pubmed articles with keywords like chronotype, chrono-nutrition, circadian rhythm, cardiometabolic health, and epidemiology, and noting the current state of knowledge, and conclusions, perhaps you can also skim the rest of the articles. After a few you may also find that the latest findings relevant to these keywords indicate that circadian rhythms most significantly affect our cardiometabolic health, and in this single area of effect, it is further influenced by many factors, among them these examples:
  • Diet, a tremendously complicated field of study in and of itself, where generalizations are not practically useful for the majority of people's individual diet
  • Sunlight
  • Artificial light sources, also including cell phone and tablet and especially those computer displays meth users tend to spend days plastered to consuming big, bright pornographic videos
  • Socioeconomic factors, especially work and study schedules, and though not extensively researched yet, for our purposes I would keep in mind tweaking schedules
  • Sex
  • Age
  • Ethnicity
  • Chronotypes, a conjecture that is pervasive in modern sleep "science", and which many are critical of. It may be invalid or in other ways ultimately an arbitrary notion.
    • Before you think I am trying to hype a fringe body of critical scholars, check out similar criticisms of core methodologies, e.g. statistical hypothesis testing, common throughout the social sciences (and the core of most sleep studies), which are increasingly under review. It is one of the critical factors in creating publication bias and its progeny, non-response bias, which taken together form the five "diseases" threatening all science: "significosis, an inordinate focus on statistically significant results; neophilia, an excessive appreciation for novelty; theorrhea, a mania for new theory; arigorium, a deficiency of rigor in theoretical and empirical work; and finally, disjunctivitis, a proclivity to produce large quantities of redundant, trivial, and incoherent works."
  • Time in history, my favorite areas of sleep study.
    • Fun fact: for almost all of humanities history, specifically all time up to the invention and proliferation of street lighting around the civilized world, it is theorized that our sleep cycles were naturally quite different than that of modern man. In many ways, it was more similar to that of apes. Generally, as dusk approached, people retreated to shelter that they would light if they could using fire, then torches, candles, lamps and so on. This was when an evening meal was usually prepared and consumed, social activity occurring throughout and continuing after for several hours. In some societies craftsmen would continue working trades in this period if the cost of artificial lighting was economical. Usually an hour or more earlier than our earliest bed times nowadays, our historical brethren would begin their first sleep. This was more like a long nap, with different durations being theorized, but resulting in people waking up in the sometime near the middle of the night. While many modern men and women feel afflicted, and often experience anxiety about their insomnia, there is no actual science that backs up that this kind of restless period is unnatural or unhealthy. Our predecessors may have used this time for contemplation, storytelling, lovemaking, singing, drumming, hand puppets, or other activities that are not diminished by a lack of light. Or, perhaps they also argued about the "correct" way one should attempt to sleep.
I can spin on for quite awhile on a subject I have many waking hours to contemplate, but hardly anyone reads a response even this long.

Instead, I will refer you back to my anecdotal counterargument in the TL;DR: and urge you to raise hell about that preposterous notion now that we share some specific ideas about sleep.

(Too Tweaky; Couldn’t Read)

Sleep is good. More sleep is better. 8 hours in every 24 seems healthiest for most people. Lack of sleep fucks you up and makes you tweaky.

Just be responsible. If you love drugs as much as i do then taking care of yourslf has to be a priority. Also always keep a benzo in the house to calm you down if you do too much. Xanax works great but don't become dependent on it. If you have high blood pressure and are overweight you should get in shape before doing meth again.
Where I’m from, Xanax and other benzos are impossible to come by. Coming down to sleep has always been difficult for me. What can I use as an alternative to benzos?

Seroquel. Ultimately it reduces how high you can get from meth. But 50 mg will put most people to sleep every night no matter how spun they got that day. It has a few side effects - but ultimately they are less risky/ damaging than getting all tweaked out from sleep deprivation.

It is commonly prescribed off-label for insomnia caused by anxiety. Also for bi-polar disorder.

Phenergan helps, OTC strong anti allergy meds help sleep.

Bottom line is the healthier you live, the longer you live unless you have bad luck.

Dont worry about your past, if you want to get healthy then start with the basics and dont expect instant results. Two years to get off all drugs, change your diet, get exercise going, see how you are then.

I would LOVE to start an exercise routine. Unfortunately, I can’t spent ten minutes on a treadmill without getting tightness in the center of my chest. I am almost certain that it is cardiac pain. And this is currently deterring me from exercising. I’m not sure how to approach this.

Thank you

See everyone misunderstands how to stay in shape, it only takes 20 minutes 3x a week. You could even take it down to 2... but here is the catch , if your in really bad shape you can't do it because u might have a heart attack. Ask your doctor if intense excersize would be ok for you, and mention intervals if she is a sports doctor. Now, i'm gonna have to warn you that for most people hurts too much and they can't hack it but it slowy work up to doing 10 min intervals at or near your max heart rate , rest for about 5 minutes and then do it again, that is the equivalent of walking for 4 hours or running for 1-2 hours. Not gonna lie it never stops hurting but you do get much quicker. Ever wonder how those cyclists ride so fast. They average 25mph sometimes on a semi-hilly road if the break away from the peloton and they sustain it for 5 hours or so. They have a saying, if u wanna go faster - you gotta train faster. Most guys go out there and do 3 hours at 18mph but they will never get faster or stronger. The things is when u start it's easy to get hurt and overdue it. I recommend a bicycle over running, much easier on your body. You just need to find your heart rate that u can sustain for that period. I keep mine at around 195-200 because i got my mom's good genetics. Lance Armstrong was doing them at 210 or so when he was first beginning. Yes i know the drugs, but you can take all the drugs in the world and u will never be as good as the top guys.

So get yourself checked out. Start with 3x5 min intervals twice a week then work your way up to 8-10minutes and then when you're the top of your game you should be able to do 20 minutes straight , no break. That is the only way to get strong and faster and in top shape. You don't need a heart rate monitor and the bpm don't really matter but you should be in pain the entire time but not so much pain that u can't finnish the interval. When u finish a set you will feel a great sense of accomplishment.

I don't care how hard anyone works, u can find 40-60 minutes a WEEK to excersize. But don't overdue it and get hurt. If u feel too tired, listen do your body and don't do it that day.

I wish I had known this before i started doing drugs because when i started this routine my cravings were gone. totally gone. we are humans aka animals and require that high u get from a hard run chasing ... well i guess we don't need to chase anything anymore to eat but our bodies still need that. I promise u it will change your life. You will gain weight in the begining , becase your fat is turning into muscle but the thing about muscle is when you're asleep it burns a shit ton of calories unlike fat. So after a month or two you will start coming down. Fuck using a scale for the first 2-3 months. If u have any questions pm me.

OP here. Thanks to all who responded, you were all very prompt and polite.

I’m starting to have myoclonic jerking in the arms and legs after daily use of meth for one month. I’m going to halt all use, at least acutely, and focus on improving my other habits as well.

there was a 9 day period when I used a total of 16mg of Xanax concurrently with meth. I assumed both the small amount taken and the timespan would exempt me from withdrawal, but is Benzo withdrawal a possible explanation?

I’m urinating (not the brightest yellow) normally, and I’m pretty consistent with appetite (hungry every four hours or so). I’m drinking only one liter of water in twenty four hours, so I’m afraid it might be kidney disease. Should I schedule a doctor now, or wait until I’ve regained my health?
