Opioids Methadone weight gain?

Hi, so I've been steadily gaining weight whilst I've been on methadone. I thought it was just age, and maybe it is partly, but I've been trying to lose weight for a while now and it seems WAY more difficult than I've ever found it.
I don't like this, so was thinking of tapering. I've heard other users of methadone say methadone made them gain weight, and once they got off it, the weight dropped off.
So! Anyone else noticed this?? Thanks.

Very likely hormonal. Have you had your test levels checked?

Nah. Never been tested. I'm considering it though, might testosterone therapy help? I'm on 70mg a day.

It completely ruins your endocrine system and rots your body from the inside out. Use it therapeutically, but get off asap
