Opioids Methadone - how long before You peak?

So i've been on 55mg of methadone for over a week now, up from 25 - which i started on april 17th.

Right now it's been 3 hours since i dosed & it feels as if it has reached full effect. I hear of people saying it gets stronger until the 4 hour mark. I begin to feel the effects within 45 mins.

How long before YOU peak?

Only taken it a couple times, but for me it seemed to peak around 3-3.5 hours, depending on what was in my stomach, etc etc. It's kinda cool. You take an opiate at like 8 AM, and you may forget you even took it...then 11 o'clock rolls around and you're like "holy shit" hahah

I'd say three hours is about right with chronic use. I usually feel the onset (with oral administration of course) within about 30 minutes, but I'd say it reaches it's peak at 3 hours.

With occasional dosing, Methadone can take much, much longer. When I got on the clinic about 2 weeks ago, I was dosed at 9 AM, and didn't really feel the methadone until about 2:30 PM. The first time I took Methadone, it was the same way. Once you stabalize though, you begin to feel your dosage much quicker, as its adding to the previous days dosage.

I've been taking methadone regularly now for pain, here and there, for a while now, and I feel 5mg within about 30-45 mins and really begin to notice effects around the 1.5 hour mark.

Redosing is not advised.
