methadone and benzos?

ok i know this topic has been covered countless times on how dangerous this combo actually is. i am flly aware of the risks but what i would like to kno is the feeling of mixing methadone and benzos. Ive heard so many different things i just would iek some first hand experiences if anyone has any! i didn't know where to post so please move to proper place if needed! thanks guys
 
it just depends on your tolerance to opiates and benzos.. when i was on MMT i was taking 90mg methadone and 40mg valium and 2mg loprazolam daily... only you know your tolerance... as a general rule you could maybe say that you should half your usual dose of methadone, and of benzos, when combining the two... see how thzat goes, and take more as needed/wanted... hope this makes sense

no i kno my tolerance but what i wanna kno is the feeling you get when combining the two i checked the trip reports but couldn't find any. so if anyone could describe there experience with combining benzos and methadone id really appreciate it

Well they potentiate each other. I occasionnaly do both, and I enjoy the combo a lot, but I won't tell the doses, as everybody is different so that doesn't mean anything. But for me it's a very pleasant combo. BUT be careful, very careful, and know you limits.
 
its gets dangerous when you get into the high level benzo doses, or if you have absolutely zero benzo tolerance. most people on mmt have at least some benzo tolerance, so taking one tablet of a benzo isn't too dangerous, but taking ten tablets is. its a fine line though, and you should know what you can handle and what you can't before you mess around with something proven to be deadly.
 
Agreed with most of the above - pleasant enough combo in a mongy, gouched out kinda way. But not even close to be worth dying for so approach with caution if at all, I'd suggest. This is a notoriously deadly combo with good reason - has probably killed off more junkies I've known and loved than any other combo I can think of. These are longterm, hardcore addicts who thought they knew their limits too - really can sneak up on you cos once you've popped a few benzos...well, we all know what tends to happen then.... even if very few of us could remember much of it 8o:D:|
 
You have not done this combo, reduce your intake of methadone or any opiate down to 75% of your normal dose, then proceed in 1 dose of benzo to get a feel for it.
 
can see how any combo can be dangerous but dont see how methadone plus benzo is anymore dangerous than taking any other strong opiate and benzo like heroin im on 60ml of methadone at mo and take 20mg of vallium daytime and 3ml=15mg of versed at night obvisously in opiate or benzo naive people you have to be careful but that seems obvious
 
The problem with the methadone is that it's very long acting, so it can take hours without noticing you've done too much and then bam, it hits you like a hammer. Anyway the truth is that you can be (or think you are) very experienced and have done the combo a thousand times and still you can overdo it one last time, last time meaning you're going to die or worse, stay paralysed because of the lack of oxygen. I know it's russian roulette, but I do it anyway...
 
i kno it is an extremely dangerous combination with the risk of respiratory depression and all but my question is the effects are they a more warm sedating heroin like high i guess what wanna kno is does it bring back the warmth to the methadone buzz like i used to get in the beginning of mmt thanks guys first thread ever! i lvoe this site helps me get soo much info so if anyone has any expeirence jsut lwt me kno theeffects warmth sedation euphoria ..etc thanks really appreciate it:)
