Meth Meth OD, how long to recover?

Not a regular meth user, last week I decided I'd try using a small amount orally to help with ADHD. I started Thursday by taking 5mg orally in the morning, then 5mg in the morning and noon of Friday. I was pretty productive, only slight euphoria and the stimulation was very manageable. Saturday I decided to snort 20mg and get some house work out of the way. Got really high that day, but was not productive because I started typing in my journal and couldn't stop, slept "ok" that night.

Decided on Sunday that I was going to do that again, but this time focus on chores. Snorted about 20-30mg but didn't get high. It made me feel awake but no euphoria or increase in motivation. So I decided I was going to smoke a little bit at a time off of some foil until I got the euphoria from the previous day. Big mistake. A couple puffs in, and my chest started pounding hard, I felt like I was about to have a heart attack. The feeling started coming and going, but each time it came back stronger. When my hands started getting numb and I felt like I was going to pass out, I called an ambulance and told them I was ODing. When I got to the hospital my blood pressure was 190/120. They did blood work and gave me fluids and a shot of Ativan. The doctor said that the feeling was mostly a panic attack, the blood work showed no sign of heart damage, but that I was close to stroke level blood pressure. I went home and slept about 5 hours that night. The next day, Monday, my chest still felt weird and I felt a bit on edge, but I still worked on chores, definitely did not take any more. About 12pm I smoked a cigarette and got that thumping in my chest again and after about an hour I got that feeling like i was about to have a heart attack and called EMS again. It wasn't as bad as the day before, and the doctors maintained that it was panic attacks.

It's been 2 days since then and I haven't had another attack, but I still feel very weird emotionally and can feel that I'm more sensitive to stimuli than normal. Has anyone else experienced something similar, and how long should it take for me to start feeling normal again? I haven't had anything since Sunday, I've barely even used tobacco.

You might be experiencing skipped beats, arrythmia, etc. They generally don't kill you, but they are very scary when you first experience them.

I get them really badly during alcohol withdrawal.

If your EKG at the hospital was normal, I would not worry about it too much.

I would definitely get started on some blood pressure medication if you haven't already. I live through alcoholism with a blood pressure around 185/100

That could be part of the issue too. I normally drink nightly, and of course way too much. But I haven't drank since then, nor have I had any caffeine and I'm a regular coffee drinker. Im sure the nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol withdrawals are contributing.
