Harm Reduction Meth Iv, missed shot. Golf ball sized lumps

Help please.

I don’t even miss the whole shot but each time a large lump forms and takes a few weeks to go down. Would it be an abcess?

I suspect you were trying to upload an image here, but it doesn’t work. If you do want to upload an image go to imgbb, copy the default fullBBcode link that is provided after you upload it and paste it in your message.

As for your missed shots - it sounds like you’re probably poking through the vein at some point and yes, that does sound like an abscess. IVing stimulants is a nasty business, especially if you miss at all.

They come up within minutes.

I actually think I ruined my veins as I did have someone who could iv me perfectly, then he taught me how to do it and I did great for a week then I think I messed my veins up.

Was this initially as swollen as the first photo you posted? The fact that it is healing on its own is a great sign. It’s possible that it’s not a full-blown abscess so much as just a very irritated spot (meth is incredibly caustic) that is taking your body time to flush out and heal. But if you continue to miss shots like this, you will almost definitely eventually have problematic abscesses, which won’t heal on their own and will require medical care.

So this was less than an hour after you injected? How does it look 12 hours after? Pretty much the same?

The skin is highly reactive and can swell up immensely when irritated, but that doesn’t always mean there’s an infection which is what occurs with an abscess. And once the skin gets irritated and swells up, it can take several days or even weeks to fully heal. I’m sure you’ve observed this with rashes or even just pimples.

Phew hopefully.

I do have to stop and enter rehab. So tonight was my last one and I gave everything to a friend.

Yes I do make them strong shots.

This is it now, 6 hours after.
I feel it went into the muscle as my arm ached for an hour or 2 afterwards

Yeah, that’s normal swelling for injecting a large amount of caustic substance. An abscess takes time to develop - many hours if not days. The fact that the swelling is decreasing substantially with time instead of increasing is a good sign. I think most of this is probably just irritation but definitely check with a doctor. I hope rehab goes well and report back if you can.

I will try to hide the last one as I was meant to stop last week.

I’m ready to stop using though. Being an addict isn’t exactly fun. All I wanted was a cough again 😂😂😂

At the very least, I recommend you stop injecting and only let others with good technique IV you. But if you can get completely off it, that’s obviously ideal.

How are you doing now that it has been a weak sense this accident. Alot people will tell you missing ice shots is the worst thing you can ever do and it is bad obviously. But you usually can pull through on misses. If you still have a decent size abcess you should like fill a tub or a sink with the hottest water you can get like so hot it almost hurts you and then put your arm in. You can like cook the abscess out, I use to do this while I was working dishes lol. Your pictures look rough it doesn't look that bad honestly. I always wonder if I'm missing I guess I never do. I have missed with ice like 2 to 3 times literally nothing happened. Be vary careful if you ever try to re inject into the site though there may be stuff blocking the way.
 
So I tried a few days later and failed, got 2 people to try different veins in my arms and nothing. ATM they are unusable.
Neck injection it was and it’s done. I called rehab and trying to stay home because I don’t trust myself.
