Above is gallery of images I took, I'm suspecting cellulitus. Missed IV shot of meth 48 hours ago, applied hot compress to affected area and red dot disappeared, to later return in full force with what I'm dealing with. It's all over from head to toe and has now moved to also affect my face, neck, eyelids, and forehead (photos omitted for identification purposes). I have little to no sensation anywhere in my body and am swollen all over. White air bubbles are forcing separation of skin and muscle tissue, and I have experienced insane muscle atrophy in both my legs and arms as if my muscle tissue is being dissolved. There is no noticeable pain, just numbness and uncomfortableness. I have over a decade of experience with IV drug use, and followed proper sterile procedures, though I did filter through cotton and not a micron filter. I've been drinking water as much as possible and have been taking ibuprofen. I also have started taking an antibiotic (doxycycline 100mg x2 day) that I keep on hand for emergencies like these. I do not have any symptoms of a fever, blood infection, or any necrosis to speak of.

Any advice or info for would help. I have no qualms with going to a hospital, and I'd like to know at what point I should start considering that option. IV meth is easily the roughest shit I have ever put in my body hands down. Don't do drugs kids.

I would consider the hospital sooner than later ie now.
Just to be safe. Go, no hesitations.

Meth is a horrible (possibly the WORST) of all drugs out there.
Of course im biased because i hate stims, but i have seen that shit transform peoples lives, looks, personalities.. i could go on but here's a piece of advice from me to you..
I do not know you at all, i just generally care about people and respect them.
Get yourself to stop that specific nasty substance, please.
Like I said I don't know you, nor should I care. I do care though.
I DON'T care if you trade that addiction for another though, but please for you and everyone around you and those who DO know you and or care about/ love you.. STOP THE METH.

Be safe.
HR first.
Good luck! :)

The lack of sensation throughout your entire body really worries me as it means your CNS is being compromised to some extent. Go to the ER. Be honest with the Drs so they can help you as much as possible. Not worth the risk.

Hospital man, you sound very knowledgeable of your own body and drug use, you should know to go there, so if your worried and is why you posted this, let us convince you.

Life is more important than embarrassment, fuck the doctor, fuck the nurses, fuck the stares... just focus on yourself.

it will be okay in the end

You had a bunch of this already but one more wont hurt:go to the hospital man.

Drugs were supposed to be fun, before we got addicted and started doing all kinds of dangerous shit.
Dont think about it twice, you need health even to enjoy your drugs.
As above posters said, fuck the hospital stuff and everybody, theyve seen way worse than you anyways..

I made the mistake of reading this while coming down of a pretty rough IV binge. Spent half the day convinced i would die along with intense anxiety, sigh.

Hope he's alright. Eziik post your results when possible.

Yeah I wouldn't mind being updated. I hope you are ok. I have a couple different medical degrees (working on a 3rd, love the med field but can't decide what I want to do within it and stick to it).

One of my jobs involved me working at a hospital, where I would occasionally be floated to the ER. The other one was a job where the majority of my time spent in the ER was just dropping patients off. Regardless, medical staff are one of the very last people that are going to call the police on you. You'd have to be caught doing something pretty bad most of the time. Aside from that, this episode would be pretty well protected by HIPAA.

I hope this has already been resolved for you either way. But this is just good info for anyone to keep in mind in case they ever find themselves in a situation where they need medical attention, but are hesitant or scared to go get it.

After working in the med field, alongside a bunch of other people, I know how we generally think. Some of the least judgmental people you will find. And almost always, they have seen what you have been already. Not to mention far worse things.

Ingrown hairs? What am i missing dude

People freak the fuck out of meth all the time.

Uhhhhh, okay i take it you didn't look through all the pics, cuz seriously...
He has an obviously severe skin reaction to the shot, almost looks like hives but to a more severe degree, not that those would be inherently dangerous or that anyone here can identify exactly what they are, but someone proclaiming a missed shot of a street drug and displaying an obviously serious skin reaction should always be directed to the hospital.

(Try scrolling down more, I don't believe that you've actually seen them because if you did there's no way you wouldn't notice)

Yeah buddy that doesn't look good, I've had a few incidents my self and seen several, but nothing ever like that. All that appeared after the miss? Are you allergic to anything, like a cutter?
