My bf used to be a be a meth addict, it took him almost having to serve time for him to turn his life around. I've now been with him almost 2 years, we recreationally use drugs for fun but nothing of that seriousness, mostly psychedelics. I was hoping someone could talk to me or message me, I just want to know what he's going through, he's been clean for over 2 years now.

after 2 years, if he has seen the negative effects of methamphetamine on his life then he's probably over it. Psychedelics are special but can also give a speed head some of that same rush/euphoria/stimulation so that may be a little triggering for him. If he's dead set on never using meth again he's probably just like anyone else.

If there's still a fantasy of one last binge, then he's probably going through hell trying to fight off cravings while using psychedelics recreationally. Though they may also help in realizing that meth addiction is not a great idea, it could go either way. Stims are a bastard to quit, the cravings are very intense and long lasting but after 2 years, they should be gone. Just make sure that you never bring stims around him, there'd be no way in hell i could stop myself if they were around me, doesn't matter what kind of stim, it'd be all gone and i'd be craving more. Other than that, you should just ask him.

We talked about it a lot when we were on a dxm binge, he usually never feels triggered by dxm but something about the dxm binge felt speedier than normal to him, he had a bit of panic attack thought the weed we smoked with the dxm might have been ranted but he knew logically he would have tasted it. He said for a while on the dxm it felt just like when he used to shoot up. He was on meth bad over 3 years of his life shooting up 3 times a day, took almost getting hard prison time for him to sober up. Now its been about 2 or 3 years sense he did it. He told me he still thinks about it often but would never do it again and he'd kill me if I ever did. Now he hates the stuff
