Does mephedrone turn blue eventually (say in 10 secs) on a Simon's A+B test? Because on the color chart I received with the testing package mephedrone is supposed to be non reactive to simons B? Can anyone clarify?
Yes I can clarify as I've tested multiple batches of mephedrone with all 5 reagents. It goes blue to Simons if you add enough 4-MMC (mephedrone) (which isn't a huge ammount) but the reaction is not as dark blue or as strong reaction as MDxx.
I'll go you one step further and recommend you follow this link below and print out the Word document containing a much better colour chart you can fold up and keep with your kit. I made that new chart in that link bellow for that very reason. There are too many dodgy, charts with inaccurate, unnecessary substances, difficult to read and often not showing the simple results of what's in common pills or showing dangerous stuff like the reactions to PMA and PMMA which has reportedly killed and hospitalised a number of people only late last year.
Oh and incase there is any confusion I would forget this Simons A and B nonsense especially if you buy Robadope (maybe called Robe or Robatest ect). Simons is the bottle that has the smell when you open the lid. The second bottle with no smell is the buffer. It's just water and sodium carbonate (washing soda). Whenever testing with Simons or Robadope you always need a drop of buffer. When you use your kit a fair bit the first thing to run out will be the bottle containing the buffer since both Simons and Robadope use it. To refil it just mix some washing soda (sodium carbonate) in some distilled (or if you can't find it demineralised water will probably do). The proportions can be looked up online but I've done it before without scales and it doesn't need to be exact.
