hello
it's something of an informal bluelight policy that we do not have the member's list enabled. given the content of the site discussion, people seem to prefer it that way.
can you explain how you would use it and why it would be of benefit to you?

The closest thing to a members list that I can think of is the list in the 'what's going on?' section at the bottom of the page if you click the forum tab.
As alasdairm asked, is there a way that you could see such a list being beneficial?
If you are looking for a member but don't know the exact username, you can search by clicking the 'advanced search' towards the top right of bluelight, then checking the box for 'exact name' and begin typing in the name in the user name section while selecting to search for either threads or posts started by them. As you begin typing, a list will come up with usernames that begin with the letters, numbers, or characters you have began typing, so if you are on the right track you can find them there.

Not to step on any toes, but there does appear to be something closer to a member's list...
However, I don't think normal users can access it. I know I accessed it once before, perhaps around the time I was a mod, for now I cannot find the option. I'm thinking it had to do with clicking the "online users" on the Forum page, since now it tells me I cannot access that page. I'll have to poke around a bit more--Who knows, it could've also been pre-upgrade.

^ you're not stepping on any toes.
at the bottom of the forum page there's a list of currently active users which can be seen by all registered users, including greenlighters. if you click on the count of active users, you're taken to a screen which give a little more information on currently online users. this page is only visible to staff.
