Meet up in SF or NY city?

New member here. I live in SF, but visit my family in Rockland County and NYC several times a year. I have left NYC since I was 18 and often feel bored when I come back. So, it would be nice to meet some new people.

Now to Dec 6th/Sat - in NY
Dec 7 - Dec 19 - SF
Dec 20 - Jan 22- NYC and Rockland
 
I'm on long island right outside of NYC. Use to promote for a bunch of clubs around the city, and still go out every now and then. What u usually do in NYC when your there? What are you looking to do? Let me know.
 
Im down to kick it. Only reservations I have is
#1)I just had wrist surgery so no boxing matches or karate chop contests and...
#2)electronic music, it makes me unhappy :(

Besides that, I understand the trek from Cali to NYC...before I lived in Brooklyn, I was in LA. Nuff' said.

its funny, ive lived in ny most of my life, but have never been to the city. ive been to san francisco several times, orlando, vegas, portland, all over really. when i get away i want to get far away, usally. i guess its places like schenectady, syracuse, and buffalo that make me not want to journey into nyc. im probably wrong though. whats good there?
 
Um, everything. Literally any kind of interest, hobby, or music is represented there.

There's a fun nightlife, which ranges from the college scene to more upscale, there's various music venues and concerts, restaurants, anything. It's the best city in the world, in my opinion.

That's kind of ridiculous how you've never been there.
 
I decided to stay in NY (Rockland) for family reasons and go back to SF after Xmas.

I have a lot of free time and don't know many people. I have a sister and brother in manhattan and parents work in Queens, so meeting up there would be convenient for me (I have a car).

I am up for whatever -- in SF, I usually play tennis, bike, hike, go mushroom hunting. I am down to meet at a bar/restaurant. So we could talk and meet. Seems like a good first place. Plus, it is soooo fucking cold. A club may be too loud, but whatever, maybe not.

I like playing cards and board games (very adult and fun ones) too.

The only bar I know in NYC is the Gatehouse, a local watering hole for Battery Park City.

Are there any casinos around?

Does anyone have any suggestions?
