A few weeks ago, I found maybe half a gram of MDPV that I'd hidden back when it was semi-legal. At the time, I was paranoid that someone would find it, and had divided it up into a bunch of parts, and hid them all over the place. I'm actually kind of shocked that it took me this long to find this missing one. But when I was using it, this drug was more trouble than it was worth. It was super addictive, and the comedown and withdrawal were awful. I stopped using it because of all the crappy effects that happened after using it for too long, even though the first few couple days of using it were usually rather pleasant.
Anyway, this time I had a bunch of nootropic drugs (piracetam, aniracetam, noopept) and I'd heard that they were helpful for stimulant withdrawal, so I figured I'd put them to the test. So I started on the MDPV, and also took daily nootropics (750 mg of piracetam and aniracetam, 50 mg of noopept) with a choline supplement, to see how that would affect it. Turns out, the nootropics made the MDPV significantly more potent, and more useful as a functional stimulant. For the first few days, anyway. It took longer than usual for the effects to deteriorate into paranoid delusions, which I found weren't actually that bad as long as I was around other people. Like, if I was in a room by myself, I'd think people in the next room over were talking about me, but if I was in the same room as them, everything would seem normal. And if I just stopped using MDPV as much, that effect would lessen as well.
Anyway, I finally ran out after about a week. I prepared for the awful withdrawal, and trying to scrape flecks of powder from the floor, but amazingly, that never came. I continued to use the nootropics, and felt just fine once I caught up on sleep. I was really impressed, since nootropics hadn't seemed to do much for me in the past, and I wasn't expecting much from them this time around. But damn, I wish I'd figured this out when MDPV was legal. I was totally able to skip the worst after-effects of this drug. It almost felt like I was cheating.
Still, even though the nootropics helped with the withdrawal, they didn't make MDPV into something it wasn't. Although it was a more functional stimulant than without them, it became less functional the longer I used it, and eventually devolved into paranoid delusions and hearing voices. Doing a better job at controlling doses could prevent this from being as much of a problem though.
Anyway, I'm surprised nootropics aren't used more in combination with stimulants. If they can be this useful with MDPV, I imagine they'd go well with other phenethylamines like MDMA.
