Hi all,

Don't suppose anyone has a definitive answer on the potential effects of this combo? Searched old threads and other places but haven't quite got a definitive answer.

It's not an SSRI so it's not clear cut. It has a different mode of effect to many of it's counterparts. I've read varying reports from people not being able to roll to people saying it's absolutely fine. Thankfully nothing screaming 'dangerous' but that seems almost too good to be true?

well if your taking this for epilepsy you should know that mdma is one of the last things you want in your body, seizures aren't pleasurable.
though I don't have epilepsy, I have experience with valproate and mdma although at different times in my life. Mdma first, valproate most recently, I don't take this anymore though.
If you take it for moodinstability then mdma woulndt be wise, you might be fine while on it but I can almost assure you that once it starts to wear off and days after you will be one unhappy camper. It is best to avoid MDMA and it is best to take your prescription medication as prescribed.
Im not sure of the contradiction, valporate acts on sodium ion channels-causes them to close rather than remain open and firing, mdma causes the inhibition of dopamine and serotonin and causes an initial flood; so by that you should be able to take both together, but it wouldnt necessarily be wise, because then again why are you taking the valproate in the first place?
the reason that you need valproate may be the reason not to use mdma, mdma is not an answer, it isn't even as great as it's made out to be, theres a big hype about it, people like the idea.
cheers
