Mdma-induced delusions?

So I did do a litttle search and didn't find the answer for which I was looking. Apologies if I didn't search hard enough.

I have experienced some kind of temporary psychotic state off of tested mdma alone two times. My friends who were with me also went into this delusional state. I had no idea that this could even happen, but both times were traumatic for me and my friends. The last time was months ago actually and since then I have taken mdma and had good trips.

The first time my friend and I had taken 1 1/2 pills each that we tested. We were rolling well, but at some point that night we lost it. It started when I tried to take a picture of us. The picture came out as just like a purple blip or something and we kept trying and it kept coming out as a purple blip. My friend started talking about how "they" wont let us take pictures of ourselves when we're high and how the matrix is real 8) We had what seemed like just a whole bunch of delusions throughout the night and we were essentially not ourselves. I claimed that god had sent us a yellow balloon that we came across to make us happy while we were rolling. We were really paranoid about people carrying luggage. We were talking about how the water tower was magical and majestic. When we came down from this state we were very disturbed and confused about what happened.

The second time with a different friend, I'm sure it's cause we took too much. We ended up taking 7 pills that night. I would never do that but it seems we were gone after the 3rd pill and we kept having the delusion that we should take more. That night I was convinced that the trees were bending away from us because they didn't like us, that streetpoles were preparing to strangle us, that a car was a bear because "If a bear were to wear a sweater, it would be blue and in the shape of that car.", that jesus was in the backseat of a car spying on us AGAIN, that it must suck to be a parking meter because you have to live in one spot your whole life .... and my friend was even worse saying crazier shit. We were so disturbed the next day when we were realizing that we were coming out of psychosis that we were crying and completely shocked.

So I was thinking either me and all of my friends have underlying conditions or too much mdma has the ability to induce delusional states.

I'm not looking for advice as I space out my rolls 2 months and above and I'm careful never to take more than 2 or 3 a night now. We have definitely learned from those two times. But I'm just curious to know if anything like this has ever happened to anyone else or if anyone has known anyone this happened to. Does anyone have any info about it? Is too much mdma known to cause delusions and even psychosis? It was such a strange experience both times.

Sorry for super long post..just curious and I wanted to share.

Did you mix it with anything?

I had too much M once and then had some ketamine and it caused me to say some crazy shit. He was barely high (different tolerance levels). He was just like "wtf?" at like everything I said. Made sense to me at the time.

i have had very vivid hallucinations off of mdma/pipe combo, took way too much and should've reearched the pills, everything i saw outside looked like a person, and every shadow in my house looked like someone was walking towards me, only once did that happen, ive never even had visuals like that on heavy hallucinogens

I know that I have been in some seriously messed up states on MDMA, thinking all kinds of wierd stuff.

The more you take the more your mind can get messed up and if you allow yourself to get carried away with these thoughts then theres no limit to what you can see.

Take less or enjoy the experience :D

my tolerance isnt that high but ive taken 5 white angry bomb pokeballs in 1 night before & i was still fine just really floored.. Ive taken alot of mdma and its never happened to me..

first time i rolled i took 2 mda/meth pills and became very delusional.
i was under the impression that my neighboor was banging on my window asking me to help him look for his pet aligator that ran away, and i actually went outside running around looking for it, and the next day when i was sober i thought that was completely rediculous

^^^ Yes, we were even coming up with delusional justifications for why we should take more. I said we have to take another one because we didn't take the blue one and we HAVE to take the blue one. Then, after that I was saying there was still a yellow and a pink one and that we have to take one of every color that we had8) Then we ended up taking the last one cause my friend said that we have to go all out lol I really think we did that because we were in the delusional state as rational me would not convince my self to take more cause we have to take all the colors of the rainbow. Really insane.

And Eyesontheroll...Wow that's crazy. Reminds me of when my friend was running around crazy on the beach looking for mr krabs. I had to calm him down telling him that mr. krabs is only a fictional cartoon character. He swore that he saw mr. krabs crawl away with one of our pills.

Ugghhhh...amphetamine based delusions, they can be a real fucked up thing. MDMA is after all, a psychedelic amphetamine (ther might have been meth or some type of amp besides mdma in there). Been there done that. Stay safe ya'll. Buy a test kit so this doesnt happen again, jesus is just looking out for you (cmon, the bible said he is made of love, I'm agnostic and can appreciate that with a hug full of plur) Paranoia is a tricky thing, its there to make you stronger (how would you feel if you had ur guard down while rolling and zombies attacked ur house?)

^Amphetamine abuse can lead to the most terrifying delusions - (Psychosis), the problem is that it creeps up on you and hits you hard.

The only person I know who would say weird things and go into semi-psychotic states like that for MDMA, then go back to normal had Schizophrenia. Be careful kid.

Wadsworth, I know your advice is well-intentioned, and colored by your own experience with an individual with schizophrenia (and it's obviously a very emotional issue for you), but the likelihood that three people SIMULTANEOUSLY experienced their first psychotic break as a precursor to schizophrenia is vanishingly small.

Drugs do weird things sometimes...I had a delusional episode a few months ago on LSD+MDMA, and if you had told me afterwards that I was probably/might be schizophrenic, it would undoubtedly have made the aftermath worse.

I agree it sounds like these guys need a break for a bit, but throwing the labels of serious mental illnesses around can do more harm than good.
