MDMA (Ecstasy), Hangover still Worth the High?

So some friends of mine had an "MDMA Mixer" last night at their house and I rolled for the first time in about six months. They had some pure powder which was very brown in color (unusual to me), as well as some capsules of pure powder which were off-white (what I'm used to). They both turned out to be the bomb though, and I was completely mangled. Total couch syndrome, all night. I'm extremely E-sick today and although it's really nothing more than I've experienced in the past, I'm starting to feel like the high isn't really worth the hangover anymore.

Back in the day, the first dozen or so times rolling, there was no question that the high was worth the shitty day-after affects. And even though I "lost the magic" quite a while ago, the high was still worth it. But now, I just don't think it is anymore... Make's me a little bit sad actually because I probably won't be doing it again.

What do you guys think? I know it seems like a stupid question because if the high wasn't worth it, you wouldn't do it right? I'd just like to hear about what has changed for you, since your first few rolls. Is the hangover harder to deal with after using more and more, even if your doses are spaced months apart?

I find that the hangovers are only crappy if i redose multiple times throughout the night. If i start with an initial dose (say 180-200mgs) and dose 1 hour later (say 80-100 mgs) and stop there, i will have basically a non-existent hangover.
Also by taking piracetam before, and after, i feel fine. I also take antioxidant pill right after i come down, and i take them the next morning. Also a multi vitamin and fish oils (i take these two everyday regardless).

As for the high not being worth it, that is how i have felt my last like 5 or so rolls (each with about 4-6 weeks in between them). I get that same thought where I think it's just not worth it and it is very sad to think that I might not ever want to do it again.
For this I am on a break, and I think with a nice break, it will bring back that 'magic' you are longing for also.

I am not the most experienced person with mdma, sa i have an unfortunate amount of trouble obtaining anything even mdxx medium.
the first time i tried, i don't remember taking any notice of the hangover.
the second or third time i was so depressed that i didn't know if it was worth it after all. but that was at the same time as a break from pot.
i am not speaking from the perspective of someone who's lost the magic (i hope), and i would say that a good pill is definitely worth it, however, if i don't know that it's going to be one of those memorable (and forgotten) nights, then i generally don't think it is worth it.

It's been 10 years this summer that I first started dropping and I get this feeling more the older I get. I space out mine more than I used to back when I first started and that helps. I also agree with no consequence. The less I redose the better.

You're doing it wrong.

I actually feel good the next day.

I can honestly say I have never had a hangover after MDMA use, although th reason I stopped using coke was the hangover the next day!

I think it can be worth it when the roll is saved for really special occasions, but not just for regular "it's the weekend so I'm rolling" situations.

For me, the "day after" lasts a week or more and includes more than just low mood--there's also anxiety, irritability and paranoia that cause me to cry and feel like people are out to get me. That makes me seriously consider whether it's worth the high. I haven't rolled since September and am fine with that.

YMMV

Agreed. (Well most of the time)

Honestly if you haven't been overdoing there shouldn't be any reason why you cant looks back on the experience with a positive mind state. If its true that the term 'loss of magic' is overused than I don't see why you shouldn't be able to look at things more positively.

If the Cons outweigh the Pros then its time to stop. Period. MDMA is exactly what you make it.

benzo's fix everything. whats a hangover?

Benzos are great for the immediate comedown effects...it almost 100% eliminates any disappointment or depressions I have when my ecstasy is wearing off. Puts me in dream mode and helps me feel doped up.

Yet eventually you have to comedown from the benzos as well...and unless you keep taking them for days on end (which will also lead to a nasty withdrawl) you will still eventually have to face reality.

Plus benzo withdrawl is hell after E...Ive know people who take xnax all week after a heavy night of raving and when they run out they will barely leave there room for days. Benzos are addictive.

So pop one on the ride home from EDC, but know that eventually the trip has to come do an end.

I guess it's different for everyone then. I take a couple valium and I'm waking up at 100%. I don't know why you'd have to take them continuously. Never had a benzo comedown either.

ecstacy comedowns can be made easier to handle if you take the X pills when you have already smoked a lot of weed. in fact, if you are already very high and have been smoking weed for hours and then u take X, then the comedown the next day is not bad at all. it can actually be a bit enjoyable. but if you take ecstacy alone without using it with weed, then the comedown is not worth the high. so my reccomendation is that if you want to have a great high without the crappy feeling the next day, then smoke a few bowls of weed out of a bong or pipe and when u are feeling pretty baked then take the exctacy. but if you do it that way, dont take more than 2 or 3 X pills because the weed will significantly boost your experience. even some minor hallucinations when mixing large amount of marijuana (smoked) with pure ecstacy. hope this helps

You said you were couch locked / floored all night? Then you took too much. Taking too much will cause a bad hangover. If you moderate your dosage, the days after aren't bad imo.

This is my experience exactly. Just one redose and THEN NO MORE.
