ok this was like over a 2 months ago, but I feel the need to post a report cos I still have not gotten over the experience. my first report so don't get fucked off if I do something wrong.
7:30 pm - waiting in line, talking to people I have met before whilst on e. everyone here is very familiar, and theres thousands of people. with me are 3 other mates, only one of them will be dropping with me.
8 pm - we're finally in there, funky house beats are playing from an opening act, this guy is pissing me off, anyway, find a security guard and ask him what time are chemical brothers playing, he replies with 9pm.
8:30pm - first half gets dropped, mate has trouble breaking his pill so he passes it to me under the toilet cubicle. risky indeed but we pull it off. now the real excitement of whats going to come really hits me.
8:35 pm - 'fuck it' I say to my mate and go drop the second half, I might as well be absolutely blown up for this sort of experience. at this time while walking around, I realise that about 90% of people here are on e. everyones eyes are huge and smiling at me. I was surprised, felt like everyone was just like me.
8:50 - my tongue is getting quite dry indeed,and I'm just leaning against a wall. I think to myself, I have timed this really well. go to get water when I see a crowd of enraged people realising that the venue does not sell water in bottles, just cups. however everyone gets 1, millions of people in line just going 'water, I want water' the eyes of the lady serving us says ' u fucking drugged up kids' talking to a guy in line about how good this is going to be, all this time anticipation building. I decide to buy him a water and he gives me some chupa chups then we go off to find our friends.
9pm - the room has gotten darker now, we're standing there in near enough pitch darkness, everyone is aware that in a few mins, we will be graced with the chemical brothers, I turn around slowly to look at the people behind me, when I get a subtle tracer effect, and a very ketamine like feeling. but I know this is e. tested as mdma.
9:10 pm- SUDDENLY we hear this huge overpowering voice saying 'COME WITH US AND LEAVE YOUR EARTH BEHIND' a million hands are in the air now 'COME WITH US AND LEAVE YOUR EARTH BEHIND' people are screaming and losing their minds, I too was absolutely blown away at this point. then these electronic beats build up to a blow up and with one orgasmic second, we are bombarded with lights, visuals, lasers, sweet sweet ecstasy airwaves. now this was truly a moment,probably the greatest feeling I will ever feel in all my pilling life, that initial entry was VERY intense, so intense that many could not handle it. however, those that did, were blessed with what can only be described, as true ecstasy.
9:50 pm- we have been blessed with many chemical brother tracks, the old ones, new ones and I'm peaking hard and still rising. then all the lights go dim, and this odd like bass line starts, then a subtle transcending tune which builds and builds as the lights build, this song was their new single 'star guitar' and it build and builds til suddenly it explodes!!! and now a whole new set of lights have been introduced above us sending a surge a chemical euphoria thru the entire crowd, and people are going insane, everyones jumping, dancing, hugging. I thought to myself in this moment ' how can I be feeling so good, I have never felt like this in my entire life' and then the song goes 'you should feel what I feel, you should take what I take' this repeats and sends people into a whole new state of mind, everyones just still holding hands up in the air 'you should feel what I feel'
11pm - they are now playing their closing song, I know this is it cos I have seen their show on tv before and they play this one last always. its amazing how they timed the lights with the music I thought.
11.25pm - its over and still peaking walking out content with the fact that I have had the most amazing greatest experience I might possibly ever have, I look around me and I'm positive everyone is feeling the same.one problem, my mate that dropped with me is too blown away and can't handle it, I have to hold him while walking out cos hes really out of it, some people were trying to freak him out, but I told them to let it go, they have been like this before, its amazing how much people listened to me and helped him as well.
another problem - policemen outside waiting for people like my mate to beat the shit out of, fear strikes, however, we manage to dodge them.I don't think he even noticed the cops outside.
11:55pm - my straight mate drops us off at the 'out of it' friends home,where we are greeted by our other mate who hates ecstasy and us for doing it, suprisingly he takes kindly to us and takes care of him, after settling down for a while he even takes us out for a drive. I lie in the back seat and look up at the stars as we move around the city, the frame of mind I was in was amazing, extremely relaxed, content, memories of the chemical brothers send surges of electricity thru my body to the point where theres tears in my eyes.
2am - I get dropped off at home where I go up to my room and play some massive attack, so mellow and good to listen to whilst coming down. the window's open and theres a slight breeze touching my face, so ultimately relaxed, looking out my window, all I can see is stars, its so beautiful to 'teardrop' by massive attack. turn my head, close my eyes, and slip into the best sleep I have ever had.
overall the experience was something that cannot be desribed, right now I am tingling at the sheer memories of it and this was ages ago. if u ever get the opportunity to see chemical brothers while on e, DON"T MISS IT!!! truly the best roll I might ever have. if you're stil here reading this....thanks.
