This weekend I went to Freaknight 8 in Seattle. And I took two mollies spaced about an hour/hour and a half apart.

This time was a lot different than my first roll... my first roll was at a small roll party in a comfortable setting, so I think I concentrated more on my own body and the effects. This time it was more about the crowd, the vibe, and the rhythm.

I'm not going to detail the entire night... but I will talk about a few specific instances that are of special importance to me.

The first occurred during the Way Out West set. They were playing one song and as they began a breakdown, white lights shone down upon the crowd. I looked up and stared at the lights... combined with the ambience of the music, I felt like I was staring at God. I felt so full of love and energy and life... It was the most intense feeling I've ever felt.

I looked over to my friend Tyler, and he said pointing to the white lights "Those are for you." I'm sure in his mind he thought it was a joke, but it extremely relevant because it once again showed to me that everything is connected. Those lights were for me... it was another reminder of the infinite nature of reality.

My friend Josh also said, "I bet that looks amazing to you." I replied, "You have no idea."

The second event happened as Robin, Tyler, and I were walking out of the dnb room. Robin stopped and started talking to some kids that were sitting alongside the wall. I sat down and chatted as well. One of the girls there, Erin, was rolling for the first time and it was her first party. I talked with her and all the while our eyes were locked together. Her eyes were as big as dinner plates, and I'm sure mine were too.

I told her that looking into her eyes was the most beautiful thing... I love a beautiful set of eyes anyway... and in that state of mind, it was 8 million times more amazing. The eyes are the window to the soul, and when someone is rolling, that window is opened much wider.

The third event was during Donald Glaude's set. A bunch of us went over there because Donald knows how to rock the crowd and get the groove going. The strobing lights only added to this... I remember thinking it was a sensory overload. His hand movements got everyone going... especially his hand figure of a heart, "Seattle Love! I'll never forget where I came from!" I felt so connected to everyone and everything. Thinking about it now puts me on the verge of tears.

At one point... a guy walked up to Robin and I and did one of the coolest roll tricks I've ever seen. He took his fingers and covered my ears, and then quickly opened and closed them... first starting slow in rhythm with the beat and then speeding up... he ended by placing his hands on my ears and shaking my head. It was quite an amazing feeling.

At the end of the night, Nu Nrg played a very good melodic trance set. I was coming down, but still feeling really good. I went and stood in the crowd near the front for the last bit of the show. I had my hands up almost the entire time. I saw the lights coming up and new the show was almost over, but I continued to enjoy myself until the last note played.

It was the best night of my life.

Two extra bits that I forgot to write about... not as spiritually important... but interesting nonetheless.

When I was chatting with those kids sitting along the wall... there were two young girls dressed as cats sitting there. They were huddled up next to each other and being very quiet, looking around at the strange goings on. They were dressed as cats... but they were also acting like cats.

It struck me how they were personifying their costumes.

The other thing that was weird happened when I was walking back to the main stage. As I passed a girl walking the other way, our gazes caught each other. She looked at me as if to say, "I know how you feel," and then stuck her tongue out at me. It looked like there was a small piece of colored paper on her tongue, which I'm guessing was a blotter, but I can't be sure.

Again, I have to say it was an amazing party. The best as of yet!!!
