Marquis goes black/dark red - smokes, bubbles and fizzes

As per the title tested some mdma I bought at a festival
Actually the mdma is rubbish
It has only worked properly when ive had genuine mdma in my system.
On its own its a mild stimulant with almost no empathic qualities
Thought I'd check it out with a tester
The thing bubbles and fizzes like a witches cauldrom
The other test which should go blue goes dark blue
The MDMA is clear crystals slightly greyish.

The bubbling fizzing smoking is that just impurities?
I'm suspecting it could be mdea is there any easy way to tell with that multi-test eztest kit? Sorry I've only had a brief look.

Could you state clearly the reagents you used and what result you got? Your post reads like you were still high when you wrote it...

Most chemicals will fizz, it's because they're the hydrochloride salt, and you're mixing it with a stronger acid, which replaces the HCl, which then bubbles out of the solution. It doesn't mean much.

MDEA and MDMA cannot be differentiated using reagent tests, but MDEA is an empathogen IIRC, so it should work.

Never bothered with robodope

All the results show Mdma then, but I've taken enough ecstasy over many years to qualitatively differentiate good from bad, and while this stuff does have some effect its definitely not proper mdma.

Probably adulterated then.

What they do is put a little bit of MDMA in it to fool the tests, but the rest of the active ingredients are pipes or something else that doesn't have a strong reaction to the test reagent.

OK thanks, doesn't feel like pipes, don't feel sick at all.
Just means any pills I get, still have to be downed before knowing for sure, that's a shame, but still its a step forward.
There was a period last year where nothing I put on a marquis went black.
I have had some amazing first class ecstasy recently.
