Note how they dont add alcohol in comparison since it would be way lower then Cannabis Sativa's #s.

NIDA Is sketchy as hell & Tu-pac is bomb but probaby not dead is the summary of the pre existing passage.

Somehow, the fact that so many kids said they could obtain barbiturates makes me not really trust their judgment. I really doubt they even know what barbs are, and just assumed that someone they knew had "pills."
 
most likely they assumed xanax perc etc. under one class due to not being educated on the subject.
 
Weed is way too easy to get these days, I got like 5-10 contacts off the top of my head. Personally I'd be interested to know about shrooms, because most experienced users pick their own.
 
interesting but not always true, im sure they're spore company owners who've out eaten native's and vice versa. My second time using mushrooms we picked our own blues but it didnt & never could make me ah vet(as the mushroom teaches one in time) Lol.
 
i read this and thought the exact same thing, how the fuck are bariturates so popular, but i agree with the above posters that they likely considered most pills that made them drowsy barbs or somethin, like benzos maybe even pain pills. cuz this thing says nothin bout pain pills and just 3 years ago when i was in highschool i couldnt go a day without bein offered vicodins and xanax (fully aware xanax is not a pain pill)

to Jsnake: i would say in America it is kinda the oppositte most experienced mushroom users grow thier own instead of picking thier own, picking def still occurs in America and people with the right knowledge can do so quite easily but from my experiences all the people i know who use psychs on a real frequent basis grow thier own shroomies or know someone who does
 
Just a thought, by barbiturates could they mean stuff like Fioricet(sp?)? I have a prescription of it for migraines(useless if you ask me), and technically that's what it is (along with caffeine and acetaminophen of course).

I was in highschool about 4-5 yrs ago, and the ONLY thing easy to obtain was pot. The only other things kids did was blow Ambien and other random shitty pills that highschool age kids potentially can have a script for.
 
^^ well yea fiorcets contain a weak barbiturate but IMO it seems doubtful that there are really so many fiorcets being used recreationally especially when they report makes no mention of benzodiazepines i assume it is just drug misclassification but yea i am sure some kids abuse/use butalbital/apap/caff (fiorcet) but prob not so much that by this info it is the 4th most common/popular drug
 
Those numbers seem way off. I just got out of high school and have been around drugs all of my life and I can't get barbs or pcp on a whim. At the school I went to the number of people that have gotten wet, smoked crack, or used h can be counted on one finger and that's in Alaska where drug use is higher than almost anywhere else in the country. The only one's that seem plausible are the marijuana, amphetamine, and nitrite (assuming people knew what that was) numbers

Then again, I live right outside of DC and Baltimore, so yeah...
 
ya i go to high school in a little suburb outside of pittsburgh and I can agree with modular. Although I can get dope pretty easily you can definitely count on two hands the number of kids who are in the same boat. The same goes for coke although I can't get it very easily. PCP seems completely unavailable as well as barbiturates and crack. What is fairly popular however is pot, all types of pharmaceuticals and various psychedelics.
 
What about ecstasy (mdxx)? That was possibly the most abundant drug when I was in high school, fucking everyone was doing it, including me :). Ecstasy and speed seem to be extremely popular amongst young people in Australia, is this not the case in the US?
 
Oh ya I forgot to mention that, at my school it comes around in waves, my buddy will pick up a jar and everyone will go crazy for a while and then when the supply dies down so does the scene basically. Whenever the supply surges so does the use, naturally.

It definitely is not as popular as many of the other drugs though. And from what i've read and learned throughout my time on bluelight ecstasy seems much more popular among the youth in australia than in the US.

Guess they did a good job of scaring kids away from MDMA over here in the good ole' USA
 
To PuckBoy: i have noticed this myself, it seems Amps and X are a little more frequent down under. not to say Ausies like Amps n X more but it just seems that due to unavailability of other drugs in Aus or the Availability of other drugs in the US that it seems in the US Amps n X are only midely popular, particularly in highschool. this is just my opinion based of observations on this website so no facts here just assumptions, also just my .02 cents please dont grill me if you believe otherwise.
 
i didnt know high school kids smoked pcp honestly haha

i remember taking these surveys in high school that asked a wide range of things including sex and drug use. Me and my friends used to lie on them. we didnt know anything bout drugs back then but we would say we were taking them all and other sorts of wild shit.

haha, I'm from WI and a small town/school where drug use (besides alcohol obviously) is not very widespread, but there are far more people on heroin and coke than I could effectively count, even my poser of a sisters tried coke

by the way, I assume by drug use in alaska you mean purely marijuana, because there doesn't seam like there are any productive supply lines for anything else
