Stimulants Manipulating PH levels to make amphetamines more effective?

I'm a bit confused.
The whole time I thought that it's the PH level in the stomach which determines how much of the amphetamine is destroyed or makes it into the blood.
But now I read contrary stuff which said that it's not about the PH level in the stomach but in the bladder. How should the PH level in the bladder play any role?
I mean it's not like the amphetamine has to go through the bladder before reaching the brain. :?

Can somebody tell me what's correct? Stomach or bladder?

And how can you influence the PH level in order to make the taken dose of Amph as effective as possible?

And what I also wonder is how does the PH level affect time-released amphetamines like Vyvanse? Are they also affected by this? If not then this would be a huge advantage
and a good reason to go on time-released amphetamines. I don't want to have to worry every time about wether the dosage works or not because of varying PH levels.

You're right. Gastric pH doesn't effect how much is destroyed though, just how much isn't absorbed.

In certain cases (lipophilic drugs, high pH) drugs can be re-absorbed from the urine in the bladder. But like you said, bladder pH doesn't effect how amphetamine is absorbed orally, it only changes how long it's present in your blood.

Take antacids or bicarbonate.

Has no effect. Vyvanase is almost entirely absorbed into the blood regardless of gastric pH.
