Man Kills Mother After She Flushes Marijuana Down Toilet

MISSION, Texas -- Authorities say a Rio Grande Valley man accused of killing his mother apparently was upset because she flushed his marijuana down the toilet.

Nicholas Jack Kenison, 24, of Mission, is charged with murder in the weekend slaying of 50-year-old Gloria Abelina Kenison in the home they shared. Bond for Nicholas Kenison is set at $500,000.

Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies said Kenison is accused of beating his mother with a crowbar, then putting a trash bag over her head.

Sheriff Lupe Trevino said Kenison allegedly attacked the woman because she destroyed his stash of drugs.

The victim's body was discovered Sunday by a neighbor and Nicholas Kenison was later arrested.

This sort of shit pisses me off because it perpetuates the negative stigma attached to marijuana and its usage. People like this idiot are the reason why so many naive people out there view marijuana in such a negative light, and why its going to take so long to change people's views about sweet mary jane. /rant finished
 
she probly flushed down some heroin or some hard type drug and there sayin cannibis to make it look bad
 
I'm sure theres more to the story than just her flushing the weed. They probably had a big arguement which resulted in her flushing his shit.

I'd be mad as hell if someone flushed my weed down the toliet. But I would never kill someone, expecially my mom.

The guy was obviously fucked up in the head. My mom found my stash of about 50 hits of x when I was selling years ago and flushed them. Sure,I cursed her out and was extremely pissed,but the thought of hurting her never entered my mind. I hope you were joking,Pokesmot,but that wasn't even close to being funny. It's shit like this that gives drugs the stigma of being evil and vile. It wasn't the drug,it was the individual,but that doesn't make for a good story nor good polotics. More fuel for the ongoing drug war.
I remember reading a story a few years back about a father who killed his son because he kept changing the channel on the tv. Yet you'll never see anyone arrested for watching tv. I wish that the government would get it through their thick fucking skulls. WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR ON ACTIONS! Drugs are not evil,people are evil. The government being the higher anarchy of all evil.

No, hehe, there will always be naive people out there, unfortunately its situations like this that exaxcerbate the current stigma attached to drugs like weed. This is not the sole reason why the stigma is there however, a large part of it comes down to anti doping propaganda in the 20s and onwards in the US where they played heavily on the xenophobic fears of the citizens. For example, people would assoc. weed with mexicans and communists, two groups that the Americans masses on the whole have looked down upon. As more research comes to light and more and more of the propaganda is seen to be fictitious myth, weed will continue to get a bad rap because of a few isolated incidents like this, manisfested by the media.
 
Pokesmot, I guess you were probably saying the woman deserved it in jest, I don't think flushing even a lot of drugs like that deserves murdering someone, but if my mother did that to me, which she wouldn't as she doesn't mind me using pot responsibly, but if a family member ever did flush that large a quantity of any drug, I would be VERY pissed, and probably do something to make their life miserable for a good amount of time, and most likely, I would never speak to the offender again.

Hell, if it was that much smokage, I wouldn't even show up for their funeral.
 
I more suprised that the titles says "After She Flushes Marijuana Down Toilet" Instead of "While High on Marijuanna"
