I am moving soon to a new city. Im already lacking right now in the friend family area of life. Just reaslised a while ago there is no one really left. Hard realisaton. Lost some people very close to me the past few years. Do have a couple friends here. But theyre..well boring lol. And also seem to just be leeching off me as much as I dont wanna see it. I am quitting opiates right now, not working, not going to school..and moving to a place where it would be just a lil too easy for me to relapse and hard. I really need to find some friends there...the lonliness is getting to me even here with people around. With drugs its easy to find "friends" just say hey look what i have they have it to and there common ground lol. But I have NO idea how to make friends this time..no job no school and people seem to be pretty cliquey. So basic question I seem to have forgotten..How the fuck do people make friends lol?

enroll in a course in something you are interested in.
start a job at a cafe or bar.

Those would be the easiest ways to make friends and connections.
you might have to clean up and detox though. friends made through drug connections are sometimes not usually the quality type (huge generalisation).

+1

One of the best ways of meeting people, you already know that you have a shared interest of some sort and there are likely to be other people doing the same as you. Getting involved in a past-time you enjoy is always a positive move away from using if you are recovering from addiction too.
