How do I make ephedra sinica tea ? I am a Chinese shaman who makes his own traditional ma huang tea. It is easy to grow in the Sac-Town, CA soil. (ma huang is legal to grow, btw)
1) Ephedra sinica is perrenial. How long do I leave in soil before I pick it ? aka How long do I let the plants mature before I pick them ?
2) How long do I dry it ?
3) At what temperature do I dry it ?
4) Should I grind it up after aformentioned steps are completed to make a nice powder ?
5) What part of the plant should be harvested that contains the ephedrine alkaloids ?
